Notes on the Accounts
These accounts have been prepared on a receipts and payments basis in line with Charity Commission guidelines.
No statement of Assets and Liabilities has been prepared as all equipment funded is the property of the school and not the Parent Teachers Association.
1. Fundraising Activities
Income from Fundraising Activities increased £38,335 on the previous year. The variation is a result of the previous year being a low year for fundraising income due to Covid-19. The majority of income from Fundraising Activities derived from participation in the Ealing Half Marathon, Summer and Christmas Fairs and smaller fundraising activities held during the year.
2. Donations
Donations of £2,495.52 were of a similar level to the previous year.
3. Gift Aid
£3,883.55 of Gift Aid was received during the year. This was £2,884 higher than the previous year due to the Ealing Half Marathon.
4. Fundraising Expenses
Expenses increased £4,553 on the previous year. The variation is a result of the previous year being a low year for fundraising activities and associated expenditure due to Covid-19.
5. General grants made during the year
General grants made to the school of £41,607.89 were £6,453 higher than the previous year. The Co-op donated £5,203.82 over the previous two years to be spent on outdoor learning space and equipment. This was spent during the year on playground paintings and a playground sail.
The PTA generally applies the principle that the net income generated one year is used for grants to be made to the school in the following year. The previous year was a low year for fundraising due to Covid-19. Grants were made in consideration of the level of Accumulated Fund and income from fundraising activities during the year.
6. General Expenses
General Expenses of £2,284.07 represent PTA expenses.
