This was during a stafng illness<br>crisis and in peak holiday season, so we had less staf, still well<br>within ratio. .<br>This has had no efect on our income and families continue to<br>recommend us throughout the Community.|

|Summary of the main<br>achievement of the<br>charity during the year|The pandemic has produced further challenges with children’s<br>speech and language and emotional and social development being<br>compromised. Much efort and success has been made in flling in<br>these gaps through plans and proven strategies to expose the<br>children to the opportunities to support them.<br>The loss of higher needs funding had quite a fnancial detriment to<br>our Setting, together with the delay in the replacement scheme<br>being implemented, we found ourselves funding all the extra input<br>needed. Gladly, the SEND support agencies kept us updated and we<br>were able to claim funding at the earliest opportunity.<br>With the early years sector being so totally let down by the handling<br>of the pandemic and lack of consideration, many practitioners left<br>the profession. We had some trials fnding suitable candidates. Our<br>current team is strong and dedicated.<br>We struggled to accommodate the 9.6% living wage increase fairly<br>across our staf members. This was the second major hike in 2 years,<br>the funding for the children was not covering our wages bill prior to<br>this, now it was even less. As we had funds in reserve we managed<br>thiswithatoken raiseforeveryone (which isnotafairsystem, our|
