The objective of the Charity is to advance the education of children below
ompulsory school age by:
a) providing safe and satisfying group play, in which parent have the
right to take part
b) Encouraging other charitable activities through vthich parents may
help the children.
c) Furthering the aim of the Pre-school Playgroups Association

The charity has provided a pre-school environment enabling them to
enhan￿ the development and education of the children that attend. The
achieve this by..
a) offenng appropriate play facilities and training courses, together
wtth the right of parents to take responsibility for and to become
involved in the activities of such groups, ensuing that groups offer
opportunities for all children, regardless of ra￿, culture, religion
or means.
b) Encouraging the study of the needs of such children and their
families and promoting public interest in and recognition of such
needs in the local area.

Achievements and performance
Summary ofthe main
achiovemonts of the charity
during the year
During the Period the charity operated a pre4ch¢xJI group on five days a
week during tem) times. Offering a choice of seven different session
times
These sessions enable parents and carers ac￿SS to childcare in a
stimulated environment.
The sessions are run by employed. qualified staff and supervised by an
employed pre-school supervisor.
A total of 140 children attended the Pre-school in the period across one
academic year. They had aC￿sS for up to ten sessions a week per child.
Volunteers on the commtttee held a number of fundraising activities
throughout the school calendar to raise money improving the pre-schools
facilities.

Nursery Education Grants are received from Essex County Council in
respect of children over the age of 3 years. Parents of children under 3
years pay fees on a per session basis.
Monies made from fundraising artivities are used to provide additional
facilities for the Pre-school.
