Loxwood Pre•School has relat￿nShIpS wrth Otsled, the Pre-school
Leaming Alliance. Wesl Sussex County Council, the local community and
local pfe-schools and schools The￿ are close lies with Loxwood Pnmary
School, which is srtualed next door lo the Pre-school and is where most
childfen ￿8ving Ihe Prfrschool ￿11 go on lo attend.

unforeseen circum5tanc*s arKI the associated financial obligations.
The trustees have a £10.000 contingency fund available. This is set aside
in case of unexpected maintenance needs or unexpected sudden closu
and will ensure that all bills and costs a￿ covered.

Thé truslees have their main fundraising event annually In May. LoxFesl
Is a family-onenled Communrty event which is lo¢ally supported and helps
to raise a subslanlial amount of money for the Pfe-S¢hool. Due to the
Covid 19 pandemic this has not able to take place In 2020.
however. other small InitiatNes have been used to further boost Ihe
fundraising, for example. themed cupcake making krts, lancy dress days,
a Chnslmas raffle 8rKI ujmpelrtions.
The lund$ raised are used to m8inlain and improve the facilities on offer
to the children that attend the Pre-school. Unfortunately. due to the
pandemic no major works were abje to 18ke place to the setting during
2020, howevef. this 1$ hoped to be different In the Spnng 012021.

We have continued lo maintain our links with the local communty
Including ties with a l(Kal communrty garden that the children regularly
attend and a strong Telalionshjp wth the village hall. The Pre-school
chikdren have been Invile(I to use the woods and stream 8longside the
village hall as a location for their Forest Childcare activities and this
opportunrty has well ￿ceiVed by the staff, Children. parents and
IcKal communty.
We conlinue to work dosely wrth the I￿al Primary School where the
majority of our leavers will attend in September. We have enjoyed
Working 109ether wrth their staff lo improve our transitions, and have also
supported one another during the pandemic.
We have maintained our leaming joumals, electronically updating parents
with their child's progress on a half lem)ly basis and woviding reports
an¢J telephon8 conversations on a termly basis as Cuf￿n11Y lace lo face
apwnlments a￿ against regulation5.
We conlinue lo have an excgltent sm811 team of staff who are enwuraged
to regulady atterKI training courses lo improve th8ir knowledge and skill8.
Loxwood Pre-school was insF*cted by l)tsled in June 2019 and was
awarded Outstan¢Jing in all areas.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31. 07. 2020. 

- **Responsibilities and** As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation **basis of report** of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
