Objectives and Activities
Charitable Purpose: Ilmington Primary School PTA aims to
-
Promote co-operation between parents and teachers in everything pertaining to the wellbeing of the school and its pupils.

To afford opportunities for the study and discussion of all matters relating to the education and welfare of children, recognising that the headteacher is the responsible authority in the school.
-
To facilitate the above by organising social, educational and fundraising activities.
Our charity aim of enhancing and enriching our student’s opportunities in their time at Ilmington Primary School lead to our dedicated fundraising endeavours that also promote the relationship between parents, carers and teachers.
Activities Undertaken: During the financial year, the charity carried out the following activities to further its charitable objectives:

Provided physical books as part of the school’s reading scheme in replacement of eBooks.

Funded coaches for school trips and weekly swimming lessons to reduce the cost being passed on to parents/school.

Class budgets allocated based on the number of pupils in each class to spend on additional resources for enrichment and educational benefits.

Road Safety Signs for the front of school.
-
PE Equipment for the whole school.
Public Benefit Statement
The trustees confirm that they have complied with their duty to consider the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit. Ilmington Primary School PTA directly benefits children in need by improving their access to education and enrichment activities, fostering a positive impact on their overall development and future prospects.
Volunteers, who may include our school Parents, Carers, Teachers and Administrative staff are relied on for successful operation of our charity events. We welcome volunteer’s time and financial donations throughout the year.
Financial Review
Income and Expenditure: The charity received a total income of £31,972, primarily from grants, donations, and fundraising events. Expenditure totalled £31,349, with the main costs being:

Reserves Policy: At the end of the year, the charity held reserves of £15,010.50. The trustees aim to maintain reserves sufficient to cover operating costs to ensure financial stability and the ability to continue services in unforeseen circumstances.
Fundraising Activities: The charity raised funds through a combination of:

Fundraising Activities (£21,217) highlights included Discos, Pumpkin Carving, Christmas Pudding Making Workshop, Breakfast with Father Christmas, Refreshments at school productions, nativities and carol concerts, sports day and the colour run, Break the Rules Day, Penny Wars Challenge, Family Bingo, Easter Egg Hunt and Tombola, a May Day and a August Bank Holiday Raffle.
Ilmington Primary School PTA adheres to ethical fundraising standards and maintains transparency in all financial dealings.
Structure, Governance, and Management
Governing Document: Ilmington Primary School PTA is a constitution.
Trustee Recruitment and Training: Trustees are members of our PTA Committee.
Risk Management: The trustees discuss expenditure during monthly PTA meetings whereby a vote is held to agree on the funds being spent. Minutes are taken of these meetings. For urgent requests, we make use of a messaging group to approve funding in between meetings where needed.
Plans for the Future
In the coming year, Ilmington Primary School aims to:

Continue to provide funding for educational support to every child at the school.

Strengthen fundraising efforts to secure sustainable funding sources.

Continue to collaborate with school to understand where the PTA can best support the needs of the school and their upcoming priorities.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/08/2025.
- Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent examiner's statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
