AGM Managers Report – 2025

Todays date – 13[th] Oct 2025

Occupancy – We started September 2024 with 17 children on roll in Ocean Room and 8 children in Coral Room and ended with children in 24 Ocean Room in July 2025 and 16 children in Coral Room on roll.

We had 7 children for the school year with SENDIF+ which enabled us to support the children with one to one support.

Our staff member Abi made a wonderful advert for our 2 year old room whichb was shared across social media and she also designed a new leaflet which we printed and handed out at picnic on the green. This made a difference as we had lots of interest in the setting and arranged lots of visits for September 2025.

Staffing – We have employed Rania, who was with us on a college placement. She passed her course and we took her on as a one to one support.

Elisabeth Wiley left in November 2024 to work in a local school.

Lauren Davenport went on Maternity leave in January 2025.

We also employed Molly as bank staff who then became a one to one support.

Verity was with us on a college placement and passed her LVL2 and we have employed her in Coral Room

Training – All staff are enrolled on Noodle Now for their continuous provision development (CPD)

Rhiannon completed her Designated Safeguarding Lead training in March 2025 and became our DSL alongside Megan.

In July 2025 we held a staff teambuildng day based in Southsea. It was an interactive spy school game which we played in 3 teams to solve clues and complete tasks. This worked really well as we had new members join the team and everybody got to work with people they wouldn’t always based on who’s in which room. It was a worthwhile experience and enjoyed by all!

Events – Our stay and play sessions continued to run this year and still proves very popular with the parents.

We had the Incredible Eggs hatching scheme, butterflies and tadpoles!

We celebrated VE day in May and World Book day in March.

We continued our monthly visits with the 3-4 year olds with the care home which is a hugely enjoyable experience for both children and residents.

This year we introduced a regulation station for the children in both rooms, this is an area where they can go to, to let off steam and use all of their senses, helping them to learn the skills to self regulate.

Fundraising – In December 2024 we held a table top sale/Christmas fayre. Ali and Karen run the preschool stall and raised £200.00

We raised £250.00 on a justgiving page in February 2025 to help revamp coral rooms garden. Alongside the justgiving page we had an Amazon wishlist as suggested by committee which worked really well and we hope to do an updated one for the next school year.

We also used a small portion of the money to put some artificial grass tiles in the growing area/side garden in Ocean Room. This has made a massive difference to it’s appearance and the children enjoyed having story times out there in the Summer.

In June 2025 Ali, Karen and Kim did Picnic on the Green where we raised £278.00
