**AGM 2022**

## **Managers Report**

**Occupancy -** In September 2021 we started with 17 children signed up for Ocean Room and 9 children for the Coral Room. Numbers steadily rose over the next few months.

By January 2022 we had an influx of children meaning we had 31 signed up for Ocean Room and 12 for Coral Room.

Two children that received SENDIF+ which funded a 1-2-1 worker. We also received SENDIF+ funding from July 2022 for a child who had just turned 3.

**- Staffing** Ali recently completed treatment for Breast cancer. Ali updated everyone with the great news that there is now no evidence of the disease. From September 2021 until April 2022 Ali reduced her hours to 16 hours per week with Karen taking over management role. Ali was able to provide support completing admin duties and keeping the social media accounts up to date.

Two staff left Spinnakers in November 2021 and April 2022.

We internally advertised our two 1-2-1 positions and interviewed our two bank members of staff who were successful - Nicola and Jennifer. In July 2022 we contacted a previous applicant, Sarah Martin who we employed as a 1-2-1 for the child under SENDIF+.

**Training -** In September 2021 all staff completed the Peadiatric first aid course. Ali also completed her fire marshall training.

All staff are now signed up to a company called Flexebb whom is a CPD provider. In September all staff are booked onto Safeguarding, food hygiene, autism awareness, managing challenging behaviours etc.

Megan has also completed a Supporting child from refugee and asylum-seeking families. Megan and Karen are also enrolled on a Level 2 SEN accreditation course due to start in November 2022.

**Events -** Due to Covid in September 2021 we did not go ahead with our usual Christmas Fayre, instead we held an oline raffle and we filmed a Christmas concert for parents. We have now arranged for a Christmas Fayre to take place on Saturday 26[th] November - we will be asking friends and families for donations.

At Easter we held a raffle - we also completed an easter bonnet parade which was virtual and the winner was chosen by Ali.

In May 2022 we held a weeks celebrations for the Queens Jubilee, In June 2022 we had our photographer Tina Allingham.

In July 2022 we took part in Picnic on the Green - St James.

At the end of term, we held a graduation ceremony in the church for those off to Primary School.

We have lots planned for this year including the return of stay and play sessions and a visit from Zoolab on Friday 25[th] November 2022.

## **Treasurers Report**

Financially this school year has been very positive compared to the last two years. In the 21/22 school year we made a surplus of £34k compared to £11k deficit last year and £14 the year before.

Staff have worked extremely hard to ensure they were careful when purchasing resources throughout the year, carrying out fundraising activities and making essential savings. The idea was mentioned that a WISH LIST could be created for staff/family members to purchase items if required - this will be discussed at a future date.
