The Trust 15 operated under a Declaration of Trust dated 18 October 1993. as amended by deed of
variation dated. 5 April 2002 and became a registered charity on l November 1993.
The charity is managed by a Committee ofTrustee5. who are appointed as detailed in the governance
document.
Risk mana
ement
The trustees have examined the major risks to which the charity is exposed, in particular those related
to the operations ond finances of the TrusL and are satisfied that Systems are in place to mitigate the
exposure lo these major risks.
Ob-ectives and activities
We have referred to theguidance tontained in the Charity Commission's general guidance on public
benefit when reviewing our aims and objectives and in p13nning our future activities.
The principal objective of the Trust 15 to preserve. for the benefit of the people of the city of York. and
the nation at large. the freehold property known as the Masonic Hall Duncombe Place York.
Achievements 2nd Performance
The Charity continues to provide facilities from whxch Duncombe Place Masonic Hall Co. Ltd operates.
During the year the building continued to be decorated and updated including installing security camera
and lighiing.
As Trustee5 we h3ve an obligation to the public. to malntain and improve the building and update to the
current legal requirements for the publids safety.
During the year the Trustees have provided donations to 5UPPOrt Duncombe Place Masonic H311
Company Limited who operate from the Hall.
Financial Review
The income and expenditure account show an overall defjcit in the year of £6,159 (2023.. Deficit of
£2751.
At 31 December 2024 the charity's net assets stand at £1,718.102 including tangible a55ets of
£1,609.577.

Plans for Future Period5
Our aim for the future Still remains. To move forward we plan to put in a chair lift to be able to cater for
disabled people. We ?ventually hope to be able to open the hall to the public and charging an admlsslon
fee. also we are looking to be able to hire out the hall more for functions. We are a150 looking to install
lead lighting in the temple ceiling with help from the Minster team.
We are Still in negotiations on leasing the adjoining land that has stood Èmpty for years, this will
generate more revenue if agreed.

Responsibilities and basis of report
As the trustees of ihe charity, you are responsible for the preparation of the financial statements in
accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 {'the ACV).
I report in respect of my examination of the charitrf5 financial statements carried out under sertion 145
of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by
the Ch6rity Commission under section 145(51 Ibl of the Act.

I have completed my examination. I confiTm that no material matters have come to myattention in
connection wirh the examination giving me cause to believe that in any materlal respect:
