## **Burnham Pre-School Trustees Annual Report September 1st 2020 – August 31st 2021** As Burnham Pre School charity number 1027595 our address is Burnham on Crouch Village Hall, Arcadia Road, Burnham on Crouch, Essex CM0 8EF Trustees at 31[st] August 2021: Rose-Anna Phillips Carina Makela Marcus Collingbourne Nel Fowler The trustees are satisfied that the activities of the charity satisfy the requirements of the Charity Commission public benefit test. We follow the constitution of Early Years Alliance and their policies and procedures. We offer a high quality provision for Early Years Children between the ages of 18 months to 5 years. Where we following the guidelines of The Early Years Foundation Stage from Ofsted and other governing bodies such as Essex County Council. Our day to day business is run by our Practise Manager and the parents committee is made up from parents of children attending the pre-school. Our ethos is for all children to be able to receive and enjoy the experience of all types of different activities and objectives. A secure, safe and happy childhood is important in its own right, and it provides the foundation for children to make the most of their abilities and talents as they grow up. We have achieved to be open throughout this difficult year and support parents and children to continue to develop also supporting others with problems or regaining confidence that followed from long periods of isolation during lockdown. In our financial review, all funds are allocated for the running of the pre-school and the needs of the children. Any reserve funds in our Business Saving Account is for any contingence that is out of our control and extra funds are needed to carry on. The past two years have been challenging because of COVID and the charity has again made a small deficit of £1,012 (2019/20 deficit £1,599). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. ## **Independent examiner’s statement** I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect: 1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act; or 2. the accounts do not accord with those records. I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
