The primary objert of the Trust IS to apply both the capitsl and income thereof to or for the relief of
the poor and needy or for other charitable purp05e5.
The charity is operdted on a voluntary basis with no paid stsff and is affiliated to Rotary
International.
During the year, nine main fund raising events were held.
The proceeds of these fund raising events have been used partly for donati)ns and community
service projects, details of which are shown in the annual accounts. but a balance in hand
amounting to £27.502 ha5 been retained for future distribution as and when requests are received.

I report on the accounts of the Rotary Club of Leek for the year ended 30June 2022 Set
out on pages I to 8.
Respecrive responsibilities oftrnstees and examiner
The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's
triistees consider that an aiidir is not required for this year under section 144{2J ol the
Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) and that an independent examination isneeded.
It is my responsibility to:
examine rhe accounts under section 145 of the 2011 Act..
to follow the procedures laid down in the Generdl Directions giv¢n by the Charity
Commission under section 145(S){b) of the 2011 Act.. 2nd
to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basl5 of independent ¢xaminerf5 report
My examinaiion ivas carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the
Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accountlng record5 kept
by the charity and a compar150n of the 3ccounts presented with those records. It also
includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and the
seeking ol explanations from you as trustee5 concerning any such niatters. The
procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an
audit and. consequently. no opinion is given as to whether the accounrs present a 'true
and fair view. and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
Independent examiner's statement
In connertion with my examination, no matter has come to my attention-
which gives me reasonable cause to believe thaL in any material respert. the
requirenients:
[a} to keep accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the 2011 Art.,
and
(b) to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and to comply
with the accounting requirements of the 2011 Art haye not betn metr. or
to which. in my opinion. attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper
understanding of the accounts to be reached.
