The trustees have had due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit. The charity’s activities support the education, enrichment, and wellbeing of pupils at Hungerford Primary School, benefiting both current and future pupils.

The trustees confirm that they have complied with the requirements of section 4 of the Charities Act 2011 to have due regard to the public benefit guidance published by the Charity Commission for England and Wales.

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year

During the year ended 31 August 2025, Friends of Hungerford Primary School organised a wide range of fundraising activities, generating vital funds to support school projects. The main fundraising events and profits were: - Car boot sale – £188.83 - Colour Mile – £596.29 - Disco – £2,458.43 - Bags2School – £135.00 - Christmas card sales – £636.05 - Flower sale – £246.66 - Quiz night – £2,285.99 - Obstacle course event – £3,156.20 - Tombola – £405.53 - Uniform sales and tuck shop – £394.36 Other income totalled £523. Total profit from the above activities was £11,026 In addition, the charity raised funds during the year via The Good Exchange, including matched funding, totalling £21,620. These funds were raised for four major projects: - New climbing frame and safety surface - Two outdoor table tennis tables - A space for children to grow fruit and vegetables Total income plus profit on above activities totalled £32,646. The trustees are grateful for the continued support of parents, carers, staff, and the wider community, as well as contributions from individuals and companies through The Good Exchange, which significantly increased the impact of fundraising. Use of funds: During the year, the charity applied funds raised from both PTA activities and The Good Exchange to support school projects and £26,622 was spent on the following projects (including contributions carried over from 2023-2024): - New climbing frame and surface - Healthy Planet Healthy Me Other projects – table tennis tables and gardening space funded via The Good Exchange The trustees believe these investments have significantly enhanced outdoor play, physical development, and learning opportunities for pupils.
