Directors report AGM 2025 Karen Muskett 15[th] October 2025

A huge thank you to all the people who worked so hard and donated in kind to make this season a huge success! Our British Champions were promoted to Open Class which meant competing at the highest National level.

We hosted a very successful regional show in Manchester where all seats were sold out. We had two units in competition with WGUK The Commodore cadets and Commodores Open Class. This competition also hosted the new Sound Sport units making it even more entertaining.

Our Cadets had to move to Juniors as we had two members over age 12, which meant we had a very young junior unit. However they worked hard and made us proud and enjoyed themselves. Scoring very respectably with their Barbie show.

Our now Open Class stepped up to the challenge and worked incredibly hard improving their skills, our staff did tremendous work with relatively young and inexperienced members as well as stretching our older members. Our performance was very well received and our props were the envy of WGUK! At the British Championships we were absolutely delighted to take the Silver Medal a great achievement for our first year in Open Class. We were thrilled at being awarded the Fan network Fan Favourite a much-coveted award for the second year on the trot.

We supported WGUK Spintastic Event again by doing the catering.

Emily Edmondson returned to perform with DCI World Class Drum Corps Blue Stars for a second year. We are incredibly proud of her.

None of this would happen if it wasn’t for the generosity of our volunteer staff, generous families and friends.

We have a new website and we are currently working hard to prepare for the 2026 season.
