responsibllFties of The cPiarity's trustees consider that an audit is not required tlils year
trustees and examlner under section 144 of the Charities Act ?011 (th6 Charities Act) and that an
independent examination Is needed.
It is my responsibility to:
eK4mine the accounts under section 145 of the CharitÉes Act,
to tollosv the procedures laid down in the general Dlrecttons given by the
Charity Commissk)n (ijndor section 145(5)(b} of the Charities Ad, and
to stat8 whether particular matters have come to my altenthm.
Basis of Independen* My examlnation was carrled out In accordancy with general Directr"ons gfven
examEnefs statement by the Charity CDmmis&"on. An examiiiation includes a review of tho
8¢counting records kept by Éhe Charity and a compaiison of the accounts
presented with those records. It also includes considerat.on of any unLÉsual
itsms or disdosurés in the acrxjunts and seeklng explanations from tho
trusteeg ¢onc8ming any su(* mattérs. The procedures u¥Td8rtaken do not
prvvide all the evidence that would be required In an audlt, and
consequently no oplnlon is given as to whether thè accoiints present a 'true
8nd fair, vl8W And th8 report is limited to those matt8r8 set out in Ihe
statement below.
Independent In connection wrth my examination, iio matter has come to my attention
examinerfs statement 1. which gives me reasonablp cause to believe that ÉTI. any materf81 respect,

to prepare accounts which accord witli the accounting records and
comply with the accountlng r8quiremonEs of the CharitÉes Act

policy for holding reserves
stating why they are held
Para 1.21
The Charity made a proflt of £2,887 over
the 2023-24 period.
Para 1.22
General Reserve- The purpose of the
organisation is to provide preschool
learning to children. Funding comes
from thè Local Authority in the form of
the Early Years Single Fundlng Formula
Grant and also fees from non-funded
attendees. Changes in Government
Policy can significantly influence the
level of fees and grants the prèschool
receives. The primary expense incurred
by the organisation Is stsff salaries.
The level of EYSFF and fees income can
vary according to thè number of
attendees In any one term, but a
reductlon in attendees does not
necessarily result in an equivalent
reduction in staffing or other costs.
Amount of reserves held
Para 1.22
As a result of the above, tha trustees
feel It Is prudent to maintain a general
reserve to secure the continued
operation of th6 organisation should
there be a materlal reduction in fees, or
oth8r unforeseen expenditure in future
periods. The preschool holds a
minimum of 3 months full running costs
and redundancy entitlement in general
