## **Chairman’s Annual Report Islamic Society for Wales - Qasr e Abu Talib (a.s)**
## **Date: January 2026**
It is with gratitude and pride that I present this report outlining the key achievements and activities carried out during 2024 - 2025. This year focused on strengthening our community, improving facilities, and making our programmes more accessible, inclusive, and responsible.
## **Key Achievements & Activities**
## **1. Community Transport Initiatives**
To ensure members could attend major religious events, we arranged dedicated coach transport:
- A coach to attend the Annual MUS Convention at _Masjid e Ali._
- A coach for community members to attend the 72 Taboot Majalis.
These services allowed many who otherwise could not travel to participate and feel included.
## **2. Projector Purchase & Amaal Programmes**
We purchased a projector for use during Amaal programmes. When it was used during worship, many attendees shared that they felt more connected, focused, and spiritually engaged, as they were able to follow the duas and recitations clearly.
## **3. Muharram Guest Speakers**
## **• Urdu Speaker:** _Syed Abid Rizvi_
Delivered powerful and meaningful majalis that deeply moved the audience.
## **• English Speaker:** _Murtaza Zaidi_
His sessions were especially engaging for the youth and included a Q&A discussion, allowing open dialogue.
Having an English speaker has helped increase attendance from people of different cultures and backgrounds.
## **4. Increased Capacity for Ladies**
Due to high attendance during major programmes, the upstairs gallery was opened for ladies as an overflow area.
This ensured everyone could participate comfortably and safely, while maintaining a respectful and organised environment.
## **5. Environmental Responsibility**
This year we introduced waste recycling at our events and programmes. This initiative encourages responsible behaviour and helps reduce our environmental impact, supporting a cleaner and greener community.
## **6. Welcoming Our Resident Molana**
In August 2024, we had the honour of welcoming our resident Molana- Syed Faisal Salah Hayat.
His arrival has been a blessing for our community and has strengthened our religious, educational, and pastoral support.
## **Conclusion**
The achievements of this year would not have been possible without the dedication of our volunteers, committee members, and supporters. I sincerely thank everyone who contributed their time and efforts.
Together, we continue to grow as a strong, united, inclusive, and forwardthinking community.
