Thank you so much for taking the time to attend our Pre-School AGM, myself and the staff really are
---
grateful for all the support from our current committee and parents over the last year as we look towards a
bright future here in Arthington. It's very difficult to sum up the last 12months in ayear which has seen some ofthe biggest changes to Pool
Pre-School Group. The staff and committee worked tirelessly for almost 4yrs in order to protect and
safeguard our beloved Pre-School on an emotional rollercoaster which was sad, exciting, optimistic,
exhausting and finally secure.
Through all this your brilliantly resilient children continued to thrive and knew nothing about the big
changes which lie ahead.
Pre-School has always strived to provide the best opportunities for your children to flourish in our setting by
investing in the professional development ofstaff, last year all stafftook part in training with Kate Lowe-
reception class teacher who also works delivering training for the National centre for excellence in the
teaching ofmathematics. The training was around the concept ofpattern and the important links with
Mathematical thinking and noticing pattern, the training has really helped us all in the way we observe and
support children with their mathematical awareness and following very brief feedback from Pool Primary
the class of2021-22 who recently left our setting are showing more awareness around Mathematical
concepts when baseline assessed. We look forward to seeing what Kate has in store for us this year! We now look towards our hopes and wishes for the next year, we all have high aspirations for the future of
the setting which is reflected in the Self-evaluation. This is aworking document that we review and update
regularly striving for the best possible outcomes for your children and the staff working with them.
Now it's time for my thanks, abig thank you to our team ofvolunteer parents who make up our Pre-School
Committee- some ofwhom no longer have children attending the setting, they give up their time to help
make some ofthe difficult decisions about the running ofthe setting always putting Pre-School at the heart
ofeverything they do- Thank You.
Thank you to the wonderful committee and trustees at Arthington Village Hall for supporting our move and
making us feel so welcome here.
Thanks to our Parents- previous and current, the support, generosity and love, particularly this year has
absolutely blown us away we all feel very appreciated- Thank You.
Thanks to our Chairperson Carol, who's wisdom and guidance has given the setting consistency for more
years than she would probably like to own up to.Carol has supported and championed myself and the staff
to make our Pre-School a fantastic place to work- Thank You.
Tracy my deputy, you' re amazing, I'm not sure Icould do what Ido without you by my side. (don't cry).I
see you more than my husband Mon-Fri but argue with you a lot less. Praise and thanks to the dedicated staff who between us have acombined service history ofover 80years-
not bad for the four ofus! ibelieve that this gives me the pleasure ofcalling them all &iends as well as
colleagues. Between us we work together to make our beloved Pre-school drive forwards no matter what
comes our way
Thank You!
