Hollies Road Pre School – Treasurer’s Report for AGM 2021 Current Account Balance £19455.09 Business Reserve Account £37756.09 My role was changed this year, by the committee, to Business Manager, as for a while now the job has become larger and more complicated. The year September 2020 to July2021 was a very good one for us. It seems like the balance is very large, but we have to future proof the setting. We never know how many children are going to walk through the door each year. The salaries work out at an average of £8000 a month and the rent is £7500 a year. We are expecting the rent to increase next year, as we haven’t had one for a couple of years. Then there is insurance, HR costs, payroll, cleaning products etc. It is amazing how much things cost. We have made the environment the very best and give the children as many amazing learning experiences as we can, but the staff are our biggest asset and selling point. Of course these experiences all come at a cost. The wages will go up again on 1[st] April and I would advise that the price of a session goes up by 50p from January. That still makes us the cheapest around - £25 per day.
