The Trustees confirm that they have paid due regard to the guidance issued by
the Charity Commlssion on public benefit in deciding what artivities the charity
should undertake.
ladd a balanced statement on the club programrne that have delivered the
charity's obj@cts over the last yearl
The charity recruits its members from a significant 5ertion of the community at
large. Everyone aged 10 to 28 years can be a member of the Easlngwold YFC in
order to participate in activities and discussions that increase their knowledge
of agriculture, crafts rural affairs and country life. The charity actively recrtsits
its members, aged 10 to 28 years, from a catchment area of 10 miles of

community around the charity benefits from our members belng actlve citizens
that contribute to the rural ¢ommuNIty.

activities undertaken for the
publlc benefit In relation to
these objects (include within
this section the statutory
declaration that trustees have
had regard to the guidance
issued by the Charity
Commisslon on public
benefit)
Additional details of objectives and activities (Optional infomiation)
Iconsider adding a summary of the hours that club members have volunteered,
including to run the YFC plus a bioad brush estimate of the financial value of
thi5 contribution. That is useful information to include in the Trustees, Annual
Reptsrt for several reasons..
> It provides the opportunity for the charity publicly to acknowledge. and
express appreciation for, the contribution of its volunteers- the true scale
of which often goes unrecognised. or under-estimated
It provides a basis for deThonstrating the-multiplier factorf of its volunteer
contributions- ie their donation5 of unpaid tirne are increasing the financial
value of the charirws outputs & OLJtcomes by the amount that the charity.
another charity or perhbps the local authority would otherwise have had to
pay employees to do the same workl
