During the year ending 30 June 2023 Rainhill Rotary Club was no longer constrained in its fundraising activities by the Covid 19 pandemic. Other donations & income amounted to £1,136.

We receive requests for assistance throughout the year. All requests are first considered and, if necessary, researched by the appropriate committee of the Rotary Club. Every request together with the committee’s recommendation is then considered by the full Club in open meeting where a decision is made. The Trust accounts show a total distribution of money throughout the year of £23,290, with£17,640 (76%) going to local charitable & other good causes and £5,651 (24%) to international causes.

TREASURER Ian Howitt

REPORT OF THE REVIEW OF THE ACCOUNTS

The Treasurer is responsible for the preparation of the annual financial statements, as set out on the attached pages. It is our responsibility to form an independent opinion, based on our review, on those statements and to report our opinion to you. Our review includes examination, on a test basis, of evidence relevant to the amounts and disclosures in the financial statements. It also includes an assessment of the significant estimates and judgements made by the Treasurer in the preparation of the financial statements and of whether the decisions of the Trust, as shown in the approved Minutes, have been consistently and correctly transacted.

In our opinion the financial statements give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the Trust as at 30th June 2023 and of the surplus for the year ended on that date.
