Outdated constiiuiion - The preschool was running under an ouidaied constitution, All membets of
Ihe commiiiee agreed that we should move to the n¢w l¢arning alliance model immediately.
Chairpersons Annual Report- Samantha Ling
WL have again had a strange 12 montbs since out last AGM that no on¢ could havc predicted. We
have had a major lockdown at the beginning of ihe year but we as a Pre-sehool have managed to
stay opcn and COVID 19 has fortunately not compromised the settitig too much. I'd like to thank
all ihe staff for their continued SUPEK)rt and profcssionalism durtng these challenging times. It's been
very much appreciaied by Nicola and the Tesi of ihe Commiiiee lo know Ihar have wonderful
staff at thc corc of this excelleni Pre-xhool. Id also lik¢ to thank Nicola for all her lime and effort
thai she puts into the Pre-school making it thc wonderful setting it is. also to Hannah for her
continuing support io Nicola in the day to day running of the Pre-school.
Our Pre-school has a wami and fnendly libe thal allracts families to us. we have tried over the year
to bring the families and Pre-school iogeiher io build on the community feeling. Due to the cuThl
COVID pandemic we didn I manage a Chrislmas fete bul the children St￿ maTragcd to have a
wond¢rful time with all the Cknisimas aciil'iiies. insiead of having a fele lo raise funds for ihe Pre-
school we 8sked for donaiions from families with what they nornwlly ￿'OUld have spcnt at thc fete
and Ihis was very well rcccii'cd. We also held a sponsored Jump. We were als.o very lucky with the
weather which enabled us to hold our leavers concert in July in the outside space at Pre-school.
Our Pre-s¢hool is a Charity and I kno￿, we menlion li a loi. but we do have to be self-5ufficient to
coniinue to nm. This year has been fllwAcially siable while we hove suffered from severe Council
funding Cuts w.hich is down to ihe additional suppon from our fatnilies with donations and we have
again amended OUT chargtng model slightly to make it WOTk beiiet for parenis and also meaning the
children benefiting from more Pre-school time.
We have continued to increase our presence by using social media marketing and open days. We
want 10 make sure new families chose us over competitors. Our open days are proving very
effective, even with ihe challenges of COVID. This has been paying off as we have seen a
substantial increase in our head¢ouni this Sepiember compared ro previous years.
All businesses, whether Charities or privaie, go Ihrough challenging times bui it's how you adapt to
these that's important. I can't thank the Managcmcnt tew Committee and Staff enough for the way
everyone's pulled iog¢ther to secure ihe ongoing fuiure of this amazing Pre-school in stsch uncertain
times. The children are at thc centre of everythino we do here. striving to achieve to be the besi we
can be and give ihe best expericnccs possible.
Financial Annual Report- Nicola Egleton

Due to good fmancial planning the Pre-scbool has shown a SUTplus this year.
Spending is inline with previous years with only a small increase in insurance and utility costs.
Numbers of children and ensuring staffmg at¢ used appropriaicly along wilh a small amount of
fundraistng all contributed to the sU￿[uS and ensured that ihe Pre_school is in a healthy position.
As we recover from the pandemic the Pre-school manatsement should be aware of a fluctuation in
children's numbers and aL%o budgei for an increase ill Staff costs and esgential expenditure,
alongFSide budgeiing for resoutces and equipment that enhauce tlic seiiiiig and makes il appegling to
new parenis.
Managers Report- Nicola Egleton
Again, this academic year the Pre-school has been imp2cled by inierruptions du¢ to the Covid -19
pandemic. Despite this ihe Pre-school aitr4ci¢d abo&'e aTrcrage numbers io lis roll.
Unfortunately, we lost a member of our team at Christmas when Jenny lefi to reiurn to PIimary
level teaching. Hannah Pickering joined our team in January 2020.
We had a very quiei year due to the pandemic and have worked on changing many of our pwtices
to ensure the children and staff at the setting slay safe.
I would just like ro ihank Hannah Wright for all the support and help she has given me throughout
the year and Sam and the conunittee team for being so supportii'e and al￿.￿yS answering my texts
and calls. Also thank you to all the other member5 of staff for all your help and support throughout
