Annual report

The year to 31[st] January 2021 was an extremely difficult year for us all and resulted in the closure of the hall for the majority of the year due to Covid restrictions.

When we were legally able to do so, the hall was opened in accordance to national guidelines with appropriate Covid protection measures taken.

However this resulted in a fall in hall bookings from £7,283 in the previous year to £1,052 in this year.

Without the very valuable and timely support of Folkestone and Hythe District Council and the Kent Community Foundation the hall faced a very poor future but with this Covid financial support the hall was able to come through in better financial health and look forward to serving the local community in the future.

The hall is a valuable community asset in a rural area with the hall used for clubs, activities, celebrations and sport and leisure activities all of which are slowly coming back into use.

Financial Report.

Income for the year £25,285. Expenses for the year £4,546. Cash surplus for the year £20,739.

The income comprised of £1,052 hall bookings, £966 of local grants and £23,267 of grants from larger bodies.

Cash reserves stand at £22,133 as at 31[st] January 2021.

The surplus will be used for the improvement of the hall and the community it serves in the following years to come.
