AGM Three Bears Playgroup

Chairs Report

Firstly, I would like to welcome you all this evening to Three Bears AGM and thank you for your supporting our playgroup.

I cannot lie but this years report is quite difficult to produce. From the previous AGM the setting was only open for a few months until it's inevitable closure in March due to the outbreak of Covid-19. The staff worked extremely hard to make the necessary changes to enable a safe return for the children in July and I would like to thank all those involved. They continue to monitor the best practices for the Playgroup to adopt and since the return they deserve a huge amount of credit.

The committee is a very important part of the business and the present committee members are;

• Alicia Napthine

• Carly Goodall

• Rupert Marlowe (sadly stepping down from his role as treasurer)

• Kieran Cobb

We are actively looking for new members to join the committee as all our children are in their final year at Three Bears and we may not all continue in our roles next year. Ultimately the setting needs parents input and assistance to run the Playgroup efficiently and together with the staff, this is achievable if people are willing to put in some time and effort to help. We also have a great fundraising team who work hard organising events over the year to help increase the playgroups funds.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the committee members and the fundraising team for all their hard work and dedication throughout the past year.

I would also like to thank all the teaching staff for their continued hard work and giving our children an excellent start to their early learning years and helping them with the transition to primary school.

Particular thanks must go to both Teresa (manager) and Michelle (administrator) who have not only given their support to the committee but continued to manage and run the setting to an excellent standard.

Lastly, I would like to thank all the parents and families for their help and support throughout the year with all that we do, your help is always needed and is appreciated.
