Local Authority). The Committee are the mana8ing Iruslecs and meet every month or so lo manage the
affairs of the PTA, and to discuss and organise fund-raisins ¢venlS.

Within the Sch￿)1 day had ¢vents like wrdp-a-present and Easler Egg hunts back in pcrs(m as well. All
these C￿nts M'ere led by parent volunleer5 and gave our children so mAny rnemori¢$ and n¢w ¢xperiaK¢- I
M'ould like to thank them all.
Across all the activities of th¢ PTA we rdised jusl over £50.000 io support ihe school. Much ofthis cam¢
from match funding and l en¢ourage the PTA to continue to develop relationships with working parents 10
help a¢cess support from employers.
We have committed to supportiDg the school to replace the classroom smartboards. which is importsnt in
the school. But one area to build on for this next ycar is io plan projects that can bring the sch(KFI iogether.
In thinking aboui our funding strategy to help us support the School in severdl meetings parents ¢xpressed
that th¢y wanted to support all age groups ai the sch¢)ol and provide things that will truly laa.
One area that is still ongoing 15 road saf¢ty- after an a¢¢id¢ni injuring a Maiden Erlegh pupil on Silverdale
Road - PTA memb¢rs asked questions at both the Earley Town Coun¢il and Wokingham Borough Council
me¢iings. Councillor Martin H¢ath (martin.heathrt¢Lwokingham.8ov.uk) is following up on this and hopes io
have new plans by November. I hope that ihe PTA ¢ontinues to rdise its voice in the planning- we are the
parents walking our children io school and negotialing ihe challenges of safe drop offs every day. We %¥'ere
welcomed to both meetings and our question5 were lisiened to. I have real hope thal that we will be
in¢luded as stakeholders in th¢ planning process.
There have been lots of changes in our school ¢ommunity- changes from covid, new school leadership and
the intrin5i¢ change of all schcM)Is with families moving on and new families joining. I really hope thai in
Ihis n¢xl year the school community Strengthen their relationships ￿ ihai we can build our community
together.
Reserves Policy
The PTA will not commit lo fund items requested by ihe school io A lolal amount greater than ih¢ balance
of the Current R¢serye Account at the time ihe commitment 15 mad¢. The sum of approximately £4,415
held in th¢ Capitsl Account provides an emergency reserv¢.

outdoor event celebrating Eid.
The PTA commilled £10,687.50 ofili¢sc funds lo Ilie scliool. whlch went towards purchasing new b￿kS
and providing Teachers il'ith fund5 lo buy ilcn15 spccificnlly for Iliclr clAssroomi.
After deducting eipcnscs and the funding Provided lo Ihc School, Ihc IrrA made a profit of £21.489.56 for
the year.
In addition lo all th¢ Mondcrful fundraising aclivilics. w¢ are also vcry glad to rcccivc corporat¢ match
funding* i1.hich in the year totalled £16,565 (ne(). A big ihank )'ou gocs to Jl¢mant, Tlna, Loulse. Anna.
