The Trustees of Seer Green Pre-School are pleased to present the annual report for the year ending 31/08/24. Overview of Seer Green Pre-School
Seer Green Pre-School has been dedicated to fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged 2.5 to 5. Our primary goal is to promote holistic development through play-based learning, ensuring that each child reaches their full potential.
Achievements
1. Curriculum Development :

We have successfully implemented a new play-based curriculum aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, focusing on creativity, critical thinking, and social skills.

Regular training sessions were conducted for staff to enhance their skills and understanding of child development.
2. Community Engagement :
- We organized community events, fostering a sense of belonging and partnership between parents, staff, and the wider community. To include the Fairy Tale Fete and Seer Green Comedy Night.

Improvements were made to our outdoor play area, providing children with enhanced opportunities for exploration and physical activity by purchasing a traverse wall.

We acquired new educational resources, including books and learning materials, to enrich the children's learning experiences.

The financial position of Seer Green Pre-School remains stable. The key highlights include:

The Trustees, who are also directors for the purposes of company law, have pleasure in presenting their report and the financial statements for the charitable company for the period ended 17 November 2024. The Trustees have adopted the provisions of Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and the Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019).

Basis of accounting
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention, except for investments which are included at market value and the revaluation of certain fixed assets and in accordance with the Charities SORP (FRS 102) ‘Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019)', Financial Reporting Standard 102 the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102), and the Companies Act 2006.
Seer Green Pre School meets the definition of a public benefit entity under FRS 102. Assets and liabilities are initially recognised at historical cost or transaction value unless otherwise stated in the relevant accounting policy note(s).
