Para 1.17 and 1.19	We aim to ensure that each child is in a safe and stimulating environment. Every child is given generous care and attention, has the chance to join in with other children and adults to live, play work and learn together. This helps to take forward his/her learning and development by being able to build on what he/she already knows and can do. Every child has a key person who makes sure each child makes satisfactory progress, our setting sees parents as parents in helping each child to learn and develop and parents are able to hep to shape the service it offers. Our programme supports children to develop the knowledge, skills and understanding they need: Personal, social and emotional development: Making relationships; self-confidence and self- awareness; and managing feelings and behaviour. Physical development:Moving and handling; and Health and self-care. Communication and language:Listening and attention; understanding; and speaking. Literacy:Reading and writing. Mathematics:Numbers; and shape, space and measure.

Achievements and Performance

Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole.	Para 1.20	Our achievements for the year is continuing to be a locally run, small early years setting that provides early years education to local children in a safe and stimulating environment. We continue to develop and improve on our provision whilst ensuring high standards of care and enrichment are provided to our local community. We also had our Ofsted Inspection in May 2018 and received the grading of GOOD with feedback from the inspector. In January 2020 we opened our new setting for all staff and children. The Nest and main room were busy and we were able to offer everyone at setting a space. Unfortunately, in March 2020 the Covid pandemic caused us to close to all children except key worker and vulnerable children. We followed the government guidelines and due to low numbers of children, the staff were put on a 2-week rota to safeguard them from the risk of infection. As funding was still in place for the children we did not have to furlough any staff. In June as the Covid guidance changed we were able to offer more children sessions, these were limited to the children going to big school in September 2020. In September the Covid guidelines had changed again and we were able to open fully to all our children and staff were back working their normal hours. Uptake of children returning was good and it was lovely to welcome the children and we continued to follow Government guidance, risk assessing, wearing masks, cleaning toys daily and keeping parents out of main room (drop off/pick up was at main door). Unfortunately in November two members of staff tested positive for Coronavirus this meant we had to shut the setting for two weeks as all staff had to isolate. We returned to setting and managed to stay open until end of term in December.
