The Trustees
The trustees who served the charity during the period are shown in the information section on page 2.
Gharltable Objects and actlvltles
The objects of the charity are to advance Ihe Greek Orthodox faith and education and to provide facilitiès
in the interest of Ihe social welfare. for reGreation and leisur8 time activiti8S Wlth the aim of improving the
condition of lif8 for the Greek Orthodox and olher Orthodox people.
During this curr8nt y8ar the trustees worked to maintain the focus of the trust's activities as laid out in in
ils objectives.. the provision of religious seNices for the local Orthodox community, thè anhancem6nt and
understanding of the Greek Orthodox faith, the teachlng and promotlon of the Greek language, culture
and ethos, by providing tuition to young people for their development as useful ¢itizèns of this country,
the social, economic and moral support for mernbers of the community in need through th8 work of Ihe
Ladies Auxiliary committee, for examp16 th8 provlslon of meals to old people, and visiting sick people in
hospitals.

The results for the perlod are shown in the attached accounts.

The charitys pollcy In r81atlon to unrestricted resèrvès Is to malntaSn sufflclent resourc8S to ensure
that th8 charity is able to continue with its work in the medium and long term. At the year end the
balance of reseNes which represented unrestrlcted funds amounted to £739,294 (2023 £718,566).
Following th6 grantlng of planing permlssion to bulld a CommunSty Cenlre the trustees have set up a
restrlct8d fund dedicated to the new bulldlng. The balanc8 at the year end was £119,046 (2023
£113,324).
Responslbllltl8s of tha trustees
The Charities Act 2011 rèquires the trustees lo prepare accounts for each financial year which give a
true and falr vlew of the Charltls flnanclal actlvltles during the year and of its financlal position at th8 8nd
of the year.
In preparing Ihose financial stataments, Ihe trustees are required to select suitable accounting
polScles,as descrtbed on page 7, and then apply them on a consistent basis, maklng Judgements and
estimates that are prudent and reasonable.The trustees may also prepare the flnanclal statements on a
going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charity will continue in business.
The trust66s are responsible for keeping propor accountlng records which disclose with reasonable
accuracy at any time the financial posillon of Ihe charity and to enable th6m to ensure that the financial
statements comply with the Charities Act 2011.The trustees are also responsible for safeguarding tho
assets of the charSty and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and
other Irr8gularilies.

GREEK ORTHODOX COMMUNITY OF ST CONSTANTINE & ST HELEN
I report on the accounts of the Trust for the year ended 31 st December 2024 which are set out on
pages 5 to 9.
Respa¢tlve responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The charivs trustees are responsible for the preparation of the a¢¢ounts. The charity trustees
consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 ( the
Act l and that an ind8P8ndant 8xamination is need8d.
It is my responsibility to:
examln8 the accounts under sectlon 145 of th8 Charitys Act.
to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commissions {
under section 145 (5>(b) of the Charities Act, and
to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basls of Indapandant 8xamlnerf$ report
My examination was carried out in accordance with general Directions given by the Charity
Commission. An examination includes a review of Ihe accounling records kept by the charity and a
comparlson of the accounts presented with those r8cords. It also includ8s consid8ration of any
unusual items or dlsclosures In the accounts, and s88king explanations from tha trust88S
concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that
would be requlred in an audit. and subsequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts
present a 'true and fairf vlew and the report is limlted to those matters set out In the statement
below.
