||REPORT AND ACCOUNTS forthe year to 30~ June 2021|||
|The objectives:|are stated to be "For the relief ofthe poor and needy orfor such charitable|||
||purpose,<br>institution,<br>society or object as the Club shall in duly constituted<br>meeting|||
||from time to time direct".|||
||The Trust helps individuals,<br>charities and other organisations<br>locally, nationally|||
||and on a world-wide<br>basis. It fully supports<br>Rotary International<br>which has in|||
||excess of1.2 million members<br>and 34,000 Rotary Clubs in over 200countries.|||
|Achievements:|During the year and under the guidance ofthe members ofthe Rotary Club,|the||
||Trustees distributed<br>a total off19,218in Grants and Donations to 21different|||
||organisations<br>and spent f27,770 on providing<br>Food Parcels to families<br>in need,|||
||during the Covid-19 pandemic,<br>completing<br>a project started<br>in 2019-20.|||
||f11,591was donated to IJKCharities and f7,627was donated to international|||
||causes.|||
||Much ofthis was funded<br>by money raised during the previous financial year,|||
||particularly<br>for the Food Parcels, where only f1,500more was raised this year.|||
||The Food parcel project was organised<br>in collaboration<br>with the local authority-|||
||Herefordshire<br>Council's education<br>and social services departments<br>assisted|in||
||identifying<br>families<br>in need —but the main work ofprocuring food, assembling|||
||parcels and delivering<br>them around<br>Hereford was done by a team of12Rotarians|||
||assisted<br>by 18volunteers<br>veNed by the Club. Between the beginning<br>ofJuly|2020||
||and the end ofAugust, they had delivered<br>a further 1238parcels to families|||
||around<br>Hereford.|||
||Early in 2021,the Club was asked by Herefordshire<br>Council to assist in a|||
||community<br>programme<br>(First Steps) integrating<br>support to vulnerable<br>young|||
||mothers. Our contribution<br>was to provide "Moses" baskets and other essential|||
||items for new-born<br>babies. We appealed to a range ofdonors for financial support|||
||and raised f12,369in donations/grants<br>towards the cost ofthe first year. ByJune|||
||2021,22young mothers<br>had benefited from this scheme, which will continue||till|
||March 2022.|||
