ROTARY CLUB OF MAIDENHEAD TRU5f FUND TRUSTEES, REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30 JUNE 2024 The Trustees present their annual report and financial statements forthe year ended 30 June 2024. The accounts have been prepared in accordance with and comply with the charity's Scheme of 23 Ottober 1986 governing document, the Charities Art 2011 and "Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to chariknes preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard appllcable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 (effective l January 20151" Objectives and actlvltles The charity's objectives are to or for the relief of the poor and needy or to or for such other charitable purpose, institution, society or object as the Rotary Club of Maidenhead in a duly constituted meeting from time to time dirett. The Trustees have paid due regard to guidance issued by the Charity Commission in deciding what activities the charity should undertake. Flnanclal review The financial statements as laid out on pages 3 to 5 comply with current statutory requirements. Total reserves currently stand at £34,466 (2023: £28,518). It is the polici of the charity that unrestricted funds which have not been designated for a specific use should be maintained at a level sufficient to undertake grants & donations as they arise. The Trustees consider that reserves at the current level will ensure that, in the event of a significant drop in funding, they will be able to continue the charity's current activities. The Trustees have assessed the major risks to which the charity is exposed, and are satisfied that systems are in place to mitigate exposure to the major risks. Structure, governance and management The charity was established by a charitable trust deed on 17 March 1993. The Trustees who served during the year were: Mr F Knowles Mrs Mary Spinks Mr l Thomas Trustees appoint members collectively as a body. All decisions are made by the trustee body as a whole and appropriate powers and authority is delegated to individual trustees who implement the decisions. ROTARY CLUB OF MAIDENHEADTRUST FUND INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF ROTARY CLUB OF MAIDENHEAD TRUST FUND I report on the financial ststements of the charity for the year ended 30 June 2024, which are set out on pages 3 to 5. Respectlve responsibilities of Trustees and examiner The charity's Trustees are responsible for the preparation of the financial staternents. The charity's Trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) and that an independent examination is needed. It is my responsibility to: (i) examine the financial statements under section 145 of the 2011 Act; (li) to follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)Ibl of the 2011 Act; and (iii} to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basls of independent examiner's report My examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those record5. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and, consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and fair view, and the report is limited to those matters set out in the next ststement below. Independent examiner's statement In connection with my examination, no other matter except that referred to in the previous paragraph has come to my attention: {a) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements: (i) to keep accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the 2011 Act; and (li) to prepare financial statements which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the 2011 Act; have not been met or (b) to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in orderto enable a proper understanding of the financial statements to be reached.
