annual report together with the financial statements of Kadampa Meditation Centfe Birmingham (the
company) for the year erKled 31 December 2025.
The financial statements comply with ￿ Charities Act 2011. the Companies Act 2006, the Memorandum
and Articles of Associalion, and Accountirg and Reporting by Charib'es.. Statement of Recommended
Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting
Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of IrelarKI (FRS 102) {effeciive 1 January 2015).
In preparing this report the trustees have taken advantage of the small company exempts'ons provided by
séction 415A of the Companies Act 2006.
STRUCTURE. GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
Constitutlon
The company is registered as a charitable company limited by guarantee and is a registered tharity
number 1025003.
The principal object of the company is to promote and follow the pure tradition of Mahayana Buddhist
derived from the Buddhist Meditators and schdars Alisha arKI Je Tsongkhapa, as introduced into the West
by Buddhist teacher Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. and to a￿vaYS rernain a member of the Buddhist
Union {NKT-IKBU) and aws follow and ad in a￿OrdanCe with the irrtemal rules of the NKT-IKBU

During 2025 the sy'ritual sxo9ramme continued to grow and improve. Branth dasse8 in Solihull. Stirchley,.
Sutton Coldfield and Wolverhampton were well attended. These dasses peaked at the start of 2025 with
over 115 people attending some iyanch dasses. These dasses function to make Kadam Dharma
accessible throughout the West Midlands region.
The centre held away retreats at Tara Intemational Re￿al Cerrtre and Nagariuna Kadampa Meditation.
Centre. These provided the opportunty to engage in longer retreats and deeper spiritual practice for the
communty.
The Centre hosted spKial everts with retired General Spiritual Director. GeTrla Kelsang Khyenrab, UK
National Spiritual Director. K8d8m Bridget Heyes and Resldent Teadw of Compassion KMC, Gen Kel8ang
Norden. All events were very successful and well attended.
The centre activiiies continue to be Swported by centre managers and a lar90. dedicated group of
volunteers.
Plans ￿ntInUe in 2028 to further improve attendanco at the n*ditaiion centro arKI make Kadam Dham
available in further areas of the West Midlands.

My examirFation was carried out in accordance with the General Dirertions given by the Charity
Commission. An examination indudes a reviwH of the accounting records kept by the charty and a
comparison of the accounts presented those records. It also indudes Consideration of any unusual
items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such
matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit
and consequently no opinton is given as to whether the accounts present a Irue and fair and the
report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.

Basi8 of preparlng the financial statemonts
These accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention with items recognised at
Cost or transaction value unless ststed in the relevant note(s) to these a￿oUntS. The accounts
hav8 been prepared in accordance thè Statement of Recommended PractiC8: Accounting and
Reporting by Charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting
Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) arKI with the Charities Act 2011.
Incomlng Rosourcos
All incoming resources are induded on the Statement of Finanoal Activities when the charity 1$
legally entitled to the income and the amount can be quantified with reasonable accuracy.
Gift Aid receivable is included in income when there is valKI dedaration from the donor. Any Gift
Aid amount recovered on a donation is considered to be part of that gift and is treated as an
additsi)n to the same fund as the initial donation.
