OL NA Managers, Report- AGM October 2024 As we kick off the new acodemic year. Pollyanna Preschool is proud to have 50 children en- rolled. including 19 two-yeor-olds which we are finding an increase in 2-year-olds enrolling due to the new government funding for 2-year-olds from April 2024. We are welcoming children from across the county and currently hold a substantial waiting list. We are excited to introduce a new member to our team, Yazmin, who joined us in September and has had a fantastlc Start. Additionally, we are in the process of recruiting a casual staff member to further support our growing team. Lucy was promoted to Deputy Manager in January 2024 and has already made a positive impact on the preschool. Zoe became our new Special Educational Needs Coordinator ISENCol in May 2024, and she will begin studying for her Level 3 SEND qualification in February 2025. Lucy, Zoe, Katie. Thereso, and Tio all successfully completed their Level 3 Early Years Ed- ucator Apprenticeships last academic year. Meanwhile, Dawn completed her Level 5 Foun- dation Degree in Early Years and is now progressing towards Level 6.1 would just like to express how proud l am of my team completing their qualifications which means we have almost a full house of qualified Early Years Educators in the setting which is quite unheard of these days. In odditior). all Staff participated in Makaton Basic training during our inset day, and we have since implemented this in the setting and it is well received wilh the children. Our Ofsted inspection on I I th July went very well, resulling in a "GOOD" rating. I was extremely pleased wilh how the slaff showcased the preschool, ensuring a positive experience for the inspector. At the end of the school year, we held a lovely leaving ceremony for our school leovers, which was warmly received by parents and carers. The children also enjoyed a fun-filled summer porty with entertainment from Simon Says Magic. This year has packed a wide variety of extracurricular aclivities, including sessions with Ball Na- tion and Harmony Dance, a visit from Ark Farm, and visits from local services like the police, ambulonce. and the locol lollipop lody. Our coffee mornings, held throughoul the year, were a huge success, offering parents and carers a wonderful opportunity to engage in activities with their children, We also hosted a Sports Day, where the turnout from parents was fantastic. and the children performed bril- liantly. We were fortunote lo again be port of Buckinghamshire County's Side by Side group. The granl we received allowed us to purchase new sensory toys and fund addilional troining courses for staff, furthering their professional development. We also participaled in Bucks Communication Week, winning the competition and receiving new book5, jigsaws, and a free training course of our choice as prizes. For Harvest Festival, we continued our trodition of delivering food pockages to the local elderly residents, which was warmly appreciated. Thank you to everyone who contributed to thi5 initi- ative. For this years Harvest festival we donated to our local food bank and it weighed a huge 41 kg which will provide around 50 families with a meal. Lastly, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the parents for their ongoing support, the children for their resilience and enthusiasm, and the staff for their hard work and dedication. We are continually striving to improve and welcome any suggestions or feedback from par- ents, carers, and families. Please feel free to share ar)y thoughts or ideas with me. OL NA Pollyanna Preschool - Treasurer's Report- AGM 24.10,2024 Accounts- Januar to December 2023 I'm happy to announce that Pollyanna, managed to make a profit of £29,829.21, slightly down from the profit of £30,908.16 of last year. We had to revise our fundraising ideas such as the Quiz Night or Bingo Night due to lack of interest which was very disappointing. We needed to step up our efforts in terms of fundraising in regard to the Summer and Christmas fayres, again we lacked raffle prizes for our Summer and Christmas Fayres, so we introduced a cash raffle prize.. 50/50 split with the preschool which has proved very successful! At the summer fayre we raised £376, and the Xmas Fayre raised E524 which paid for the new mud kitchen for the garden. The consumables fee was introduced this year, but last year we relied on donations in fundraising which helped pay for the Summer Party so that included food, drink and activities and the Xmas bundles etc. A150 paid for Harmony from Kaso Studios to come and teach the children dancing. Fundraising money was also used to fund the visits from Ball Nation which the children very much enjoy. There is a copy of our income and expenditure for January to December 2023 available here to look through, if you would like a copy let us know and we can arrange a copy to be sent to you. Our tax return was completed and submitted on time with no issues. On a personal note, I have been the treasurer for Pollyanna since July 2021 when my daughter Alba was attending the preschool. As myyounge5t daughter Sofia, who has been at Pollyanna Since shejust turned 2 years old will be leaving at the end of the summer term next year to go to primary school, I have made the decision to leave my position of Treasurer and as a member of the committee after next year's AGM.
