Chairperson's Report 2026

The school year has been yet another successful one for Meadowlands Pre-School.

This, as always, is down to the excellent staff and committee which helps us provide the best possible start for our children.

The 2024/2025 Accounts show a very good year for the pre-school financially. A profit of £12,130.00 was achieved and this has been accrued to 2025/2026 for the upgrade, repairs and maintenance of the children’s bathrooms. This has been needed for a number of years. The craft area will also be upgraded with the replacement of the sink, plumbing and new storage. Any extra purchases needed will be deducted from the 2025/2026 finances.

Looking to the future, the 2026/2027 school year also looks promising as we have the full allocation of children on most days.

Our thanks go to all of the staff for their hard work and their dedication to the children and the preschool.

Meadowlands Pre-school wouldn’t be the success it is without all of our staff.

Ian James

Independent Examiner's Report on the Accounts

Report to the trustees of Meadowlands Pre-School on the accounts for the period ended 31st August 2025 set out on pages 2 and 3

Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner

The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this period under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the Act) and that an independent examination is needed.

It is our responsibility to:

Basis of independent examiner's statement

Our examination was carried out in accordance with General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently we do not express an audit opinion on the accounts.

Independent examiner's statement

In the course of our examination, no matter has come to our attention:

1 - which gives us reasonable cause to believe that, in any material respect, the trustees have not met the requirements to ensure that:

2 - to which, in our opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
