Dear Parents,
I hope you are all well and staying safe!
Randlay Roundbouts is a charitable organisation run by a voluntary committee. Each year, we must hold an AGM detailing how the organisation is doing. Due to the pandemic, we were, obviously, unable to hold a meeting last year or this year, due to numbers meeting together. I am, therefore, detailing below, as the present Chairperson, the information normally imparted at the AGM. I would be very grateful if you could please read all the details below and sign the attached form to say you have done so – thank you.
As you are all aware I am sure, the last 15 months have been a very trying time for us all, but especially for businesses, including Randlay Roundabouts. We have had periods of closure due to the pandemic but also, when allowed to do by the Government, our amazing and resilient staff opened the facilities and carried on the pre-school. However, totally understandably, we had reduced numbers and, therefore, reduced income.
The Treasurer advises me that, obviously, we did make a loss during the initial stages of the pandemic but are now sustaining our finances.
Looking forward to September, we are expecting numbers to rise, making the group even more sustainable. However, to remain open, we MUST recruit a voluntary committee made up from the parents/carers of the children at the pre-school. Without this committee, the pre-school cannot remain open ! We would, therefore, like you to consider becoming a committee member, being involved as much or as little as you would like or have time for. By being a committee member, you will have the opportunity to not only keep the group open, but to have your input considered in the running of the organisation. More details with regards to committee will be explained further once we have numbers interested.
Please let Julia know if you have any further questions with regards to this letter or the running of the Preschool, we will be more than happy to talk
to you. Also, please can you complete the attached form asap and return to Julia, Business Manager.
