Achlevements and perfonnance
I'm pleased to report the PTA had a net Income of £29,822 for the sthool year 2024125,
markin8 the hl8hest level of net income ever. Many thanks to the committee, teachers,
parent volunteers and donors for their hard work to help us to achieve thls.
This year we continued with a full calendar of fundraising events, which was only possible by
tinuin8 the strategy Implemented last year where additional volunteers outside of the
formal PTA commlttee were heavlly Involved In organlsing and running events, leavin8 the
Ctynmittee to c<H)rdlnate and support the events as well as performing the additional
c(#nmittee roles.
We kicked off our fundraisin8 year again with the annual Spooky Discos for the children.
Always a popular event that has been runnlng for many years and was a great success. Special
thanks to the parent who agaln stepped forward to take on organlslng this event havin8 also
done it the prevlous year. We ralsed £l,LK)I which is In Ilne with prevlous Spooky Dlsco&
There were 8ood numbers of volunteers who helped out on the night and the108iStics worked
really well.
The annual Flreworks Spertacular swlftly followed. Thls Is our bl88est event so one that
needs to be right to ensure we can maxlmlse our fundralsln8. ThSs year, 3 parents of chlldren
from Year 3 took on the challen8e of organlsin8 thls crltlcal event, they did a brilliant Job and
we're very grateful for the tlme commltment and eneray they brought to the event.
Everythln8 went very well, wlth the usual success of the B8Q and bar, and a150 some new
additlons Ilke Candy flo￿ whlth were a huge success, especlally for the chlldren. We raised
£11,996. a Ilttle more than the prevlous year makln8 It one of our most successful ever. As
Payloflo

always, fireworks requlres a sl8nlflcant number of Volunteers at the ac￿al event which is
always challengin8. However, Ilke In 2023, we'd like to glve a speclal mention to the all the
parents who volunteered as well as the teachers and stsff who 38aln stepped in, after a long
teaching day, to make the event posslble.
We finlshed the autumn tem) successfully, wlth the usual Chrlstmas actlvFties: Christmas
cards desi8ned by the chlldren, Chrlstmas trees and wreaths and thls year a new addition of
Christmas hampers whlth were organised by Carol Morton and benefited from some very
generous donations frcm local buslness and parents. The hampers were a real success and
)k the total fund ralsln8 for Chrlstmas to £1.636, materlalty more than the previcxjs year.
As we headed Into the Spring temi. we ran the evef-popular parenW 0￿11 night This was run
by the same team that did it the prevlous year and was also scheduled at the more popular
time of early Feb. It was a 8reat Suc￿55. The night raised a little over £3,In) In line with last
year is a 8reat event for the parent
Through the summer term we were able to wn more events. Sw>rts Day was a real success,
the weather was hot and sunny. so our new addition of an ice ueam stsll proved very popular
with both children and parents We bought a table top freezer unit to enable us to run the ice
cre•n stand and thls wlll prove a valuable asset for future event&
The main PTA event of the summer terni was "Summer Fleetfesf. This was a huge
urHlertaking and was or8anised by the same 3 parents who had (wganised the Firework
Spectacular. Again, we are very grateful for the tlme and energy they brought to this new
e¥entfor the calendar. The event induded, summer party 8ames in the plawound run in the
main by year 6, tombolas, halr braidin& glitter and tattoos, bounry castle and inflatables in
the 8ym and of course frA)d and drink including not only the BBQ but also a parent Tunning a
vwy popular Yaste of Wietnam" food stall, with all profrt goin8 to the PTL The weather could
have been kinder whlth meant that some of the planned attractions were relocated inside at
the last minute, but it was a huge success raisin8 almost £5,OCrf). A massive thank you to all
involved in or8anlsin& running and attendlngthe evenL
The year dosed out with the usual year 6 activities of thelr performance and then leavers
party. Thls was a great success and raised about £5￿.
Throu8hout the year, a team of volunteers run our O￿lIne second-hand unrform store. This is
a hu8eJy valued and valuable attivity ensurin8 that we recyde and reuse uniform as children

I'd finally Ilke to acknowled8e the 8enerous donatlons we recelve from parents We recently
sl8ned up to 8enevlty, whlch Is a company who fadlltate people to make donatlons to
charlties before tsx throu8h the companles for whom they work. There were very 8enerous
donations made through thls method and we are very gratsful to those who do this.

In 2024125 the plan for our fvndralslng money was as follows:

Carol Morton stood down as Chair at the end of the year in August 2025. Carol has been the
heartbeaL energy and driver behind the PTA for 4 years and has put $0 much into making it a
success. It Is a tlttin8 tribute that in her last year, the PTA raised a record sum of nearly £30k.
I know that all Involved In the school and the PTA would want to thank Carol for her
dethcatlon, c(ThmltmenL energy and Ideas to maklng It suth a success durlng her leadershlp.
T￿1 Kltthlngham. Sofia Relna and Alex Moody were also parents of year 6 d)Ildren and
therefore also left the commlttee at the end of the year. I would Ilke to thank them all for
their tlme, expertlse and ener8y contributlng to a very successful time for the PT￿ We do
hope that Alex wlll contlnue to support us with his BBQ skills which are Invaluable at events
like the Flrework s￿￿￿ular and FleetfesL
Chrls Evans remalns as the Treasurer and Chloe Mann as the secretary. Unfortunately, there
wefe no C￿dIdateS to succeed Carol as the Chair at the end of the year and as such Chrls and
Chloe have ayeed to take on a Colhalr responslblllty In additlon to their exlstlng roles for
the comln8 year. It should be noted that runnlng the commlttee In thls way Is not sustalnable
and therefore a plan Is requlred to Increase the commlttee's slze and to find a dedlcated Chair,
othefwlse the scale of actlvltles and number of fundralsln8 events wlll need to be Kaled bac
A spedal mentl(m ￿e$ to Carollne Hudd, Rachel Wlles and Alex Slmmons for or8anisin8 both

I would Ilke to once agaln encourage parents and carers to come fofward to volunteer and
partldpate In your PTA. Wlth the departure of such a number of committee members we are
In 8reat need of new volunteers to take on commlttee roles, volunteer to organise events, or
come a lon8 and help run a stall. Many hands make 118ht work. 8elng part of the Khod
communlty and seeln8 the chlldren benefft dlreth from that Is a gready rewarding and
en￿able experleno.
