Chair Persons Report 2020 and 2021 

First of all, let me thank you all for coming tonight. 

It has been a tough few years, what with the pandemic and also fighting the Council plans to close the bar.  We still don’t know where we stand with the Council, but are working towards getting a lease put in place in the near future, hopefully, but even though we are in uncertain times we are holding our own. 

Which brings me to my next point, I would like to take this time to thank all of the staff for the hard work and commitment they have shown during this difficult time, especially Gill and Lorrain, who also worked partly through the closure (sometimes without pay) and also our cleaning staff who made sure we were ready to re-open safely. 

And finally, I would like to thank the committee for all their support and commitment, without who we wouldn’t have a Community Centre and here’s to a better times ahead (fingers crossed).
