Responslbilities and basls of report As the charlty's tru8tees you are responsible for tha preparation of the awounts in accordance with the requirem8nts of the Chariti8s Act 2011 ('th6 Act,). I report in respect of my examination of the charity's accounts carried out under section 145 of the Act and in arrylng out my examination I have followed all the applicable Dlreclions glven by the Charity Commission under section 145(5Mb) of Iha Act. Independent examiner's statemant I have completed my examination. I confirm that no materlal matters have come to my attention in connection with the examlnallon giving me cause to believe (hat in any materlal respect: accounting records were not kept In respect of the charity as required by section 130 of the Act. or the accounts do not accord with Ihose records,. or tha aocounts do not comply wlth the applicable requirement5 concerning the form and content of accounts sel out in the Charltles (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requiremenl that the accounts glve a 'lrue and fair view, which is not a matter considered as part of an Independent examlnation. THE ST JAMES GREAT PACKINGTON TRUST ANNUAL REPORT FOR THE YEAR TO 31 MARCH 2025 St Jam&s Church Is owned by The James Great Packington Trust following a conveyance dated 14 November 1994, from the Church Commissioners. The Conveyance of the Church arose from a Pastoral Scheme dated 1 March 1994 made under The Pasloral Measure 1983. Charlvs Objects The object of the Trust is to hold the capltal and income of the Trust Fund upon trust to apply the incorne and all or such parts or parts of the capilal al such times in such manner as the Trustees may in their absolut8 discretion think fit or towards.. the preservation, repair and improvement of St James, Church for the benefit of the general public., the advancement of religion through the letting of th@ property to the frlends ol St James Great Packington who ar8 responsibl& for the maint@nanGe of the Church of England seNlces and meetings in th8 Church. and the promotion of the arts and education through the holding of public concerts, leolures and meefing5 in the Church. Public Benefit The trustees have read and applied the guid8nc8 from the Charitl8s Commission relating lo public benefit, and is inherent in Ihe objects of the charily. Activiti8s and Review of the Year The Church is 6ss6nOally a private chapel but can be used, under a Pastoral Scheme, for cultural purposes (not specrfically defined and in addltlon to rellglous purposes) and remains in use de facto, as the Parish Church for Great and Little Packlngton Parishes. The uses to which the Church can be put are fairly limited. Currently, ther& are raligious services, OCPAslonal concerts and recitsls, the latter designed to raise funds for the maintenance of the Church fabric. The net resourc8s incoming for the year amounted to £nil. There are no restricted funds. Durlng the year. two new tslees,. Lord and Lady Guemsey were appointed. following the relir8ment of Land Aylesford on 1st August 2024.
