2019 was another hard-working year, raising funds and awareness. A large amount of time and funds were spent on gaining permission and planning for our proposed new site at Woodford. Our vet bills, rent and management costs were significant too. No new Trustees were appointed but Myra Byrne left us. The stray dog problem has not diminished, even though microchipping is mandatory, and we are still seeing evidence of puppy farming and, horrifically, illegal dogfighting. More 'pedigree' dogs are still coming in from Eastern Europe, many with illnesses, as evidenced by our vet bills! As we approach our 27th year in rescue, we are still committed to the cause. As ever, we are grateful for our registration.
