Trasies selection mettiads Three trustees are nominated by Southam town Council, one by the
deacons of Southam Congregational Church, one by the Roman Catholic
Priest for the parish of Our Lady and St Wulstan’s Southam, and one by
the St James Parochial Church Council. Vouchers to the value of £50 to all those that apply provided they meet the
; . criteria and live within the Civic Parish of Southam, thus widening the
e Trustees’ consideration of scope of those that are eligible to receive help. The supply of vouchers is
major risks and the system topped up from time to time in line with demand by agreement with the
and procedures to manage chairman and trustees. This scheme has continued throughout 2023 to
them. assist with the cost of living crisis that has occurred because of inflation
caused by the conflict in Ukraine and huge increases in fuel and food
commodities which has impacted lower income families worst. The cost of
supplying vouchers continues to increase due to high demand and greater
awareness of the scheme :
**----- End of picture text -----**
We also react to claims made by Social Services, the local food bank and local schools provided the cases meet our criteria.

 - It is my responsibility to:

 - e examine the accounts under section 145 of the Charities Act, e to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 145(5)(b) of the Charities Act, and

An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair’ view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
