Trustees Annual Report

Tenacres Littlefolks Pre-School operates under a constitution recommended by the PreSchools Learning Alliance with a committee elected at an annual meeting attended by parents involved with the Pre-School.

The aims of the charity is to provide care and education for children from the age of 2 years 6 months to school entry. Fees are kept low to make the Pre-School accessible to all, and a few children were entitled to government funding at the age of 2 so were able to attend more often.

Almost all monies received into the charity are:

We are pleased to present a financial report that shows a significant improvement in our financial position. We have seen an increase in the number of children attending Pre-school which has had a positive impact on our income through fees and funding. Due to the increase in numbers, wages have been forced to rise; however, we must remain within the required ratio, so it is unavoidable.

We have applied for grants and received donations from local businesses for specific items, services or activities which would have been too expensive for us to afford. We are very proud of the work we have done to secure these funds, as it has allowed us to provide our children with a better learning environment and resources.

We have set a clear budget and have been managing our expenditure effectively. We are on track to reduce our deficit and we are confident we will be able to manage our finances effectively in the coming years.
