Achievements and performance
The Group is in an excellent position vath high numbers in all
4 sections throughout the year.
A strong team of Section Lead voluntee￿ has enabled the
Group to delNer a varied prgramme of actNities thrDughout
the year. These Induded several Exphjrer and Scout camping
trips. kayaking, sailing and other water based activitss,
dimbing, cornpeting in k)cal hiking (x)mpetitions.
RerrEmbrdnce Day ServKe, FirewoTk and ChristnNqs Parties
and a RYA trip to Gosport.
In January the GrDUP Successful￿ ran a Fell Race Challenge
open to over 500 applicants. raising much needed fvnds for
the Group.

The GrDUP held rBseNes ol approximatety £55.000 against
thts at ypar end. This is above th8 level rBquirnd for operating
expenses. Fbv￿ver thb (zn be explained by the fact that the
GrDUP plans to spend Sorr￿ funds on Head Quarter
refurt)ishThnt In the next few yea￿.
Invostmont Pollcy
The Group does not have suff￿nt funds to invest In bnger
term InVestn￿nIS. The Group has therefore adopted a risk
averse strategy to the hvestn*nt ol ts funds. All funds are
held In cash uslng onty nHnstream banks.
The Group Treasurer r8gularty n￿n￿OrS the levels of bank
balances and the interest rdtes received to ensure the group
obtains maximum value and Incon￿ frnm ts banking
arrangements.

I report on the accounts of the Group for the year ended 31st March 2025
