EFFECT OF THE COVID PANOEMIC
Church Servlces and Pr&y•r meetlngs
The church servSces and prayer meetings are no rnore affected by the COVID pandemic. The rnembefs
of the cOng￿98110n have resumed attending church services. and prayer meetings, in the church
building.
Harv•st
We a￿ back lo having Iwo harvesls 4 year. The first haTresl wa5 held in May 2022 and the maln harvest
wa5 in November 2022. One main a¢lv8ntsge ol the Z¢J(wnlYouTube meetings i8 that members have
now mastered the art ol paying online for the harvest sales, and even their dues and lilhes, the harvest
yielding lolal of £21,469.

The congregation wère encouraged to make Contribut￿nS online. Due$, dona￿￿$. and oflering were
pald dlreclly by the congregation lo Ihe church's bank aeLounts.

We continue lo be mortgag&free. We are rthv in Ihe prw of registering our new stslus vAlh the Land
Regi51ry.
The financial burden on the church has been reduced. The thurch wll be able to organlse trips and
other sighiseeing activrties for its members. We will be able to attencl to various repairs and
relurbishments in the church's house.
Achlevements and p8rfonnance
The Youth Minislry..
The London Youth MTnislry has been rejuvenated after the pandemio Thèy hold their meetings oftline
and in the chureh building. Through hard work and Sheer ingenuity. they ivere able lo achieve their
primary purpose of the L%)mbattiThJ the inc#J8nls of knife and gun uimes in London.
Parucipants ￿ activities of the youth mini51ry have four￿ to be very rewardiig. Children and
leenagers invofved have built friendships and tovnd supKM)rt through youth rninislry. They have
developed ideas lor the youth in the church by fc¢LL8ing on a combination of bible sludy. 5eNice,
funlsocial activitie&
TThe leadership of the chufch. once again. commended the youlh of the LcM)don brnnch for helping to
raise the avrdreness of the destructive effecis of knrfe and gun crimes.
Bible Study:
A ￿e part of the youth ministry is bible study. Pwenbng relig¥)us lessons in a way that is interesting
and appealing lo youth i8 a main focyjs for thurch leaders. When choosing a topic for a bible study
Ses￿On. the clergy thinks of ways to apply the lesson to situakns the children are currenuy dealing with-
parents. friends, peer pressure, knife and gun crimes. De￿r￿ling on the age of the group, lopics like
relationships, or substarbce abuse are also appropriale. They ckrgy utilrLes bible passages and lessons
as well as crafts or creative aclNiUes to support the teaching and conversati￿.
Retreats:
Day or overnight ￿lrea15 have been organised to Provide Op[￿rtunItieS for strengthening the youth
ministry group. The relreals prov#Jed opwrtunilies for bible sludy. servTr. and social inieraclion. For the
lime-being retreats have been confined lo the church yemBes. There are many retreat cenlres across
the country that host groups and can tailor xtmlies for service or team building. Some Mjeès lor fvlure
retreats would induding skiing. wsiling the beaeh ty a lourisl attradion. or cafflpin9. Have the members
of the group Wofk together lo complete tasks Id(e cooking and thaning lo foster a strong group dynamic.

Community Service..
There are many ways that youth ministy groups can provide service lo the community. One way is
through projects supporting the church such as simple gardening, cleaning or painting. Another option is
aclNilies geared towards supporting the church congregation. including projeels lo recognize birthday
celebrations or assisting elderly members with household lask5. Another type of service project that Is
approprtale for youth ministry groups is supporting o)mmunity organizations like the food bank. soup
kitchen. of parks and recreation department.
Fundraising:
The youth ministry wéll host fundraising aclivllies lo support the church or charitable causes. The
fundraisu)g activities woukl involve the families and oldef members ol the church. Some ideas include
bake sales. church dinners or selling homemade ¢rafts. They also plan lo organize plays and musical
events.
Women's Fellowshi
Mini$l
The Women's Ministry of GCOP is a vibrant ministry for women ol all ages and stages of life. The aim Is
lo meet the needs of women bolh spiritually and naturally through solid fellowship, discipleship, as well
as encouragement and biblical leaching.
The ultlmale vision of this ministry is lo bring women lo a place of excellen￿ and maturity in Christ. To
encourage them lo make a positive difference in 811 that they do while always embodying the attribules of
God. This ministry has been established to strengthen women's. lo stir up Lhe gift5 and help them
understand their calling so that they will fulfil their destiny in Christ, so that the will of God can be
accomplished in the church.

Our main church semce is held on Sundays beknn 11.00 am and 14.30 pm. The Sunday service
involves prayers. Bible le8ching, gospel music, bapli5rn. and sacrament. Qunng the Bible teaching
session the clergy help members lo learn about the Bible and to develop their knowledge and tru51 In
Jesus ChrisL Thi5 15 follDwed by Adoration and prayer session in which people ale encouraged lo extol
God and worship Him. There is also a period in which people give teStirr￿nies, telling others about how
God has helped them Ihiough their trials. troubles, sickness elo Thi5 helps lo encourage olhers to
sland firm in the Lord Jesus Chri51.
We also provide Evening Semce every Tuesday and Friday from 20.00 10 2130. These seNlces provide
for effective prayers lor membor$. They also give members quiet, inlimale, and relle¢live environment
for p3rishioners. )Ne 81so organi5e Al-Nighl Prayer services on the last Friday ol every month, New
members lind these 5&ssions very attracllve as they provide avenues for them lo make fervent prayers
to God.
We also hold other activities lo enable our parishioners ID ce18brale and thank God for important even15
in their lives. We hold Dedication Service for newly-bom children to thank God for the oift of children,
which is His heriiage. Bap115m services are held lo enable people to commit themselves lo the service
and worship of God. Marriage services offer people Ihe opportunity lo lie the knot before fellow
believers. Harvest services are held 3 limes a year lo enable parishioner5 to bring their harvest offerings
lo God. Last bul nollhe le8sI we hold Thanksgiving services lo enab￿ bereave(I family and friends lo
grief and thank God for the lives of lost ones and lo commend the departed sou15 into God's safe
keeping.
Hierarch
The adminlstralion of the church in Lor￿On is headed by Prophetess Theresa. She is as51sled by a
leam of 2 pastors, and S Elders ol Ihe Church. The Clergy is made UF 012 pastors. an Overseer and 1
Worker, who tske turns to conduct the varfous services organisad by the ChuTCh.

The rectory is officlally the residence ol the past(Y. 11 conssts of 1 en-wile apartment and S double syzed
bedroom.s. a kitchen and I large INing ro)m. The place has been rented out in Ihe pasl in order lo help in
relieving us ol our linancial commitments. From September 2019 the propety has been rented to
single family. The rent received is rellected in our Financial StslemenL

The Church undertakes various ¢harilable responsibilitlès In Gh8n8. The Church has 4 brnnche8 in
Ghana, namely, KLirna$i, Cape Coast, Accfa, and Team. The Kumasi bfanch has a Senior Secondary
School, which hos been In exislence for more Ihan 20 years. There is also a Junior School and Health
Centre in Accra.
Apart from these the Church has adopted wards in the Ic41owing hosplals in Ghana.. Korle-8u Teathing
Hospital. Accrn, Rtdg• Hospital Accra. Mental Hospital. Accra. Menlal Hospital. Ankaful. and Okomfo
Anokye Teaching Hospital, Kumasi. W• send items Ilke 14ankels, clothing. and pTovi$ions lo the varlous
wards we have adopted every monih.
In Ghana. God's Chuith of Peace 1$ a member of the Chrislian CourKil of Ghana. We also hav• good
working ielalionship the Church of England. Behbten 1984 and 1992 we used lo share the
Maynower Church ￿1h the Church of Eng￿nd. We moved to our presenl premises In 1992. However.
we have malnlained cordial working relatN)nships wlh the Church of Éngland. We toamed up with them
lo form the League of Chrislian Miss￿n¥ in 1988. This projecl has helped various organisations and
in81ilulions in Ghana.
