The Trustees present their report along with the financial statements of the charity for the year ended
31 March 2024. The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the accountlng
policies set out on page 7 and comply with the charity's Trust Deed and applicable law.
Structure, Governance and Mana8ement
The Stanley & Zea LewSs Family Foundation is constituted under a Trust Deed dated 23 December 1992
created by the Settlors, Stanley and Zea Lewis. It is a registered charity no. 1021805.

At the Annual Trustees, meeting, the Trustees agreed the broad strategy and areas of actlvity for the
Trust, including consideration of srant makin& investment, reserves and risk mana8ement policies
and performance.
Rlsk Manasgment
The Trustees have examined the major strategic, buslness and operatlonal rlsks whlch the charityfaces
and confirm that systems have been established to enable regular reports to be produced so that such
risks are not continuously monitored and that appropriate steps can be taken to lessen these rlsks.
Oblertlves and Artlvltle$
The Trustees shall hold the Trust Capital and the income thereof upon Trust to pay or apply the whole
thereof as the Trustees may from time to time in their absolute discretion detemiine.
The Trustees have had due regard to the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit when
considering the Trust's activities and objectives.
Charltable donatlon pollcy
Donations are made to various not for prof it or8anisation5 to be applied for the public benefit, All
applications received are considered by the Trustees on their own merit for suitability of f unding.
Achlevements and Performance
The Trustees have continued to apply their funds in accordance with the objectives of the Trust.
Donation5 totalling £474,447 were made in the year12023: £273,999).
Flnanclal Revlew
The Trustees operate a single bank account into which donations are received and paid out. The
balance of the bank account at 31 March 2024 was £62,95212023: £30,629). During the year donations
were received prlmarily from Lewis family trusts.

Rosèrves pollcy
The Tru5tees' policy is to maintain their continulnR level of support under the grant making policy that
they have agreed. If income resources are insufficient to cover the donations then recourse is made
to the other funds of the Foundation. In 2D23124, the Foundation had net incomlng resources of
£30,523 (2022123: £16,665). The Trustee5 do not consider that any minimum level of resource5 15
required,
Plans for the future
The Trustees intend to continue providing grants in a similar way to the recent past but retaining
flexibility as to the timing and scale of grant makin8.
Trustees. responsibllltles In relatlon to the financial statements
The Trustees are responsible for preparin8 the Annual Report and the financial statements in
accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practlce (United
Kingdom Accounting Standards).
The law appllcable to charitles in England and Wales requlres the Trustees to prepare financial
statements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity
and of the incoming resources and application of resource5 of the charity for that period. In
preparing these financial statements, the Trustees are required to:
Select Sultable ac¢ountin8 pollcies and then apply them consistently;
• observe the Methods and principles in the Charities SORP;
• rnake judgments and estimates that are reasonable and prudent,,
state whether applicable accounting standards have been followed, subject to any material
departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements. and
prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless It Is inappropriate to presume
that the charity will continue in business.

position of the charity and enable them to ensure that the fi'nancial statements comply with the

harivs constitution. They are also responsible for safeguardin8 the assets of the charity and hence
for takin8 reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

Independent revlewer's report to the Trustees of the Stanley & Zea Lewls Famlly
Foundation
I report on the accounts of the Foundation for the year ended 31 March 2024, which are set out on
pages 5t09.
Respectlve responslbllltie5 of the trustees and examlner
The charIt￿$ trustees are responsible for the preparation of the account5. The trustees conslder that
an audit is not required for this year (under section 144121 of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act))
and that an Independent examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to:
examine the accounts under section 145 of the 2011 Act,.
to follow the procedures lald down in the general Directions 8iven by the Charlty
Commission under settion 145(51Ibl of the 2Qll Act,, and
to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basls of Independent examiners, report
My examinatlon was carried out In accordance with the 8eneral Directions given by the Charity
Commission. An examination includes review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a
comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes conslderation of any
unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seekin8 explanations from you astrustees concernin8
any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be requlred
in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and fair
Vie￿ and the report is Ilmited to those matters In the statements below.
Independent examiners, statement
The charlty's gross Income exceeded £250,000 and l am qualified to undertake the examination bv
bein8 a qualified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales IICAEW).
In connection with my examination, no materlal matters have come to my attention which gives me
cause to believe that in any material respect:
accounting record5 were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or
accounts did not accord wlth the accountlng records., or
the accourits did not comply with the accountin8 records of the 2011 Act.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination
to which attention should be drawn in thls report In order to enable a proper understanding of
the accounts to be reached.

Basis ol preparatlon of accounts
The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention wlth items re¢ognlsed
3t cost or transaction value unles5 OthenNise stated in the relevant note5 to these
accounts. The financlal statements have been prepared in accordance wlth the St3tement of
Recommended Practice,. Accounting and Reporting by Charities preparing their accounts in
accordance with the Flnanclal Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland
(Charities SORP IFRS1021} and with the requirement5 of the Charitie5 Act 2011.
The Foundation constltutes a publir benefit entity.
The Trustees 3re satisfled that the charity has sufficient commitments from donors to
continue its activities for the foreseeable future. Accordingly, the Trustees continue to adopt
the 8oin8 concem basls in the preparation of the financial statements.
