## Aims and Objectives 

- To provide pre-school education to children aged between 2 to 5 years of age within the local community. 

- To provide fully qualified and trained staff in accordance with Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).+ 

- To deliver care and education whilst meeting individual needs including developing and implementing strategies to develop and extend children’s learning. 

- To provide a safe, clean and age appropriate environment. 

- To provide a high standard of equipment and daily activities to enhance children’s development. 

- To meet all criteria in regards to safeguarding including training and DBS checks for all staff and trustees. 

## Activities and Achievements 

Heanor Pre-school has achieved its aims and objectives throughout the year by providing pre-school education to children from the age of 2 years to those entering full time education in accordance with the EYFS. All staff are qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 in childcare and have maintained their training requirements including 



safeguarding. New equipment has been purchased and existing equipment has been maintained throughout the year, 

We have been successful in applying for local grants this year. Which has enabled us to be financially sustainable for another school year. 

To maintain our excellent parent partnership we normally engage in coffee mornings, Easter bonnet parades, Christmas concerts and bi-annual trips to a local soft play centre.
