Holland ## **Independent examiner** Hannah Belsham ## **Structure, governance and management** Haywood Road Pre school Playgroup operates as a voluntary aided playgroup in the Mapperley Community Centre. ## **Objectives and activities** The objective of the playgroup is to offer free and affordable childcare in the local community. Pre-school has been running successfully in the community centre for over 35 years. It provides high quality pe school education for 2- to 5-year-olds and is staffed by dedicated qualified staff, who provide a calm secure and stimulating environment for children to learn and achieve their potential. ## **Achievements and performance** Through fund raising and Grant funding the charity achieved its aims of providing affordable childcare. The numbers of children has slightly decreased this year, which has made the charity add a smaller amount to the reserve funds. Staffing is stable and marketing was increased. ## **Financial review** The net reserves of the charity have decreased in the year with the charity still being in a stable financial position.
