Management Committee. which comprise 15 members duly elected as per
The Constitution.

Objectives and activities
(a) To promote the benefft of the inhabitants of Nottingham and the
neighbourhood without distinction of sex or of political, religious or
other opinions by associating the local authorities voluntary
organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance
education and to provide facilities in the interests of social
welfare. for reGreation and18isure-time occupation wlth the object
of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

The Management Committee, regarding the guidance issued by the
Charity Commission on public benefrt summarise the main activities
below:
(a) Provlsion of buildings and services for the use of the sangat
(congregation) and local community.
(b) Provision of a Luncheon dub and Yoga Class for the elderly.
(c) Prowsion of Punjabi Music School for local community.
(d) Provision of a place of worship and advancement of the Sikh
religion.

Summary of the main
achievements of the charity
during the year
The main achievements for Ramgarhia Sabha Nottingham (RSN) during
the year indude:
(a) Continuation of the Building and Maintenance Programme with
Improvement and malntenance tD RSN anO Lord Nelson Bulldlng.
(b) Provision of facilities to hold regular weekly yoga classes and an
annual seaside trip for the elderly.
(c) Provision of facilities for Lions Clubs International, Notts College
and Notts Police for teaching and hosting events.
(d) Hosting local school children on religious awareness visits
(e) Participalion in Nottingham Nagar Kirtan programme.

Financial review
Brief statement of the
charity's policy on reserves
At the end of the financial year RSN held cash at the bank and in hand of
£50,879. We manag8 our expenditure on major projects by ensuring all
projects have full funding plans prior to initiation. We paid back 4 interest
free loans from the sangat amounting to £20,000 al mutually agreed
times. We have our accounts inde
endentl examined.

Volunteer5 and Sangat
In addition to the volunteer hours provide by The Management Committee, 8 great contribution is made by
member volunteers and our sangat (congregation). We are grateful for the many hours volunteers have
spent enabling Ramgarhia Sabha Nottingham to deliver services to the local community. Without this
valuable contribution of time and energy we would not be able to achieve so much.
Future Bulldlng Projects
We will continue with our Building and Maintenance Programme and look to raise funds to develop the
kitchon and general improvements to the building and we will continue to maintain our properties 29
Percy Street and Lord Nelson Building, 10 Percy Street. In 2025 the RSN boiler systems and the PA and
Sound System will need replacing, at the time of this report (October 2025) the RSN boiler system has
been replaced and there an order in place for the PA & Sound System. Further work may be required on
the radiatars at RSN.

Basis of preparation
The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in
accordance with FRS 102. The Financial Reporting StarKlard applicable for Smaller
Entities (effective April 2008). The Statemènt of Recommeded Practice . Accounting and
Reporting by Charities issued in March 2005 (the Charities SORP 2005) and with the
CharitFes Act 2011.
Tangible fixed assets
Tangible fixed assets are measured at cost less accumulative depreciation and any
accumulative impaimient losses. Depreciatlon is provided on all tangible ftxed assets,
other than freehold land, at rates calculated to vKite off th8 ¢ost, less estimated residual
value, of each asset evenly over its expeGted useful lrfe. as follows:
