Management Committee. which comprise 15 members duly elected as per
The Constitution.

(a) To promote the benefrt of the inhabitants of Nottingham and the
neighbourhood without distinction of sex or of polrtical, religious or
other opinions by associating the local authorities, voluntary
organisations and inhabrtants in a common effort to advance
education and to provide facilities in the interests of social
welfare. for recreation and leisure-ts'me occupation with the object
of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.
(b) To establish or to secure the establishment of a communty centre
in furtherance of the above objects.
(c) The advancement of the Sikh religion.

(c) Provision of Punjabi Music School for local community.
(d) Provision of a place of worship and advancement of the Sikh
religion.

Summary ofthe main
achievements of the charlty
during the year
The main achievements for Ramgathia Sabha Nottingham (RSN) during
the year include.
(a) Purchase of Lord Nelson Building. a going GOn￿M that that
houses 8 flats and a large carpark that will create an income
stream to support the main activities of RSN and provide much
needed car parking.
(b) On going renovation and decoration of flats as they become
vacant prior to reletting.
{c) Focus to complete all outstanding works to property at 29 Percy
Street, in readiness to let.
(d) Continuation of the Building and Maintenance Programme with
improvement and maintenance to RSN and Lord Nelson Building.
(e) Provision of facilities to hold regular weekly yoga classes and an
annual seaside trip for the elderty.
(fj Provision of facilities for Lions Clubs Intemational, Notts College
and Notts Poli￿ for teaching and hosting events.
(g) Hosting local school children on religious awareness visits
(h) Participation in Nottingham Nagar Kirtan programme.

Financial review
At the end of the financial year RSN held cash at the bank and in hand of
£47.274. We manage our expenditure on major projects by ensuring all
projects have full fvnding plans pnor to initiation.
Update and renovation on flats as they become vacant, before they are
relet.
4 interest free loans paid back to individuals as mutually agreed, we will
continue to do this going fO￿ard as funds become available and mutually
agreed.
Substantial monies spent on renovation and update to property at 29
Percy Street, work on going.
We have our accounts independently examined.

Volunteers and Sangat
In addition to the volunteer hours provide by The Management Committee. a great contribution is made by
member volunteers and our sangat (congregation). We are grateful for the many hours volunteers have
spent enabling Ramgarhia Sabha Nottingham to deliver *rVi￿5 to the local communty. Wrthout this
valuable contribution of time and energy we would not be able to achieve so much.

We purchased the Lord Nelson Building as a going con￿rn which in time will provide a valuable income
stream to RSN and has immediately provided much-required car parkn'ng.
This building will require a focussed approach with a dedicated team. A fully dedicated team has been
selected to oversee all aspects of Lord Nelson Building, and will remain in Offi￿ for a period of 5 years, as
agreed and minuted by the Management committee
We also continue wrth our Building and Maintenance Programme and look to raise funds to develop the
kitchen and general improvements to the building.

I report in respect of my examlnation of the Trusfs accounts carried out under sectton 145 of
the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination. I have followed all the applicable Directlons
given by the Charlty Commlssion under seclion 145(5)(b) of the Act.
