achievements of the charity
during the year
The 21-22 financial year saw the FOR conduct a series of fundraising
events Including a Circus Night, Christmas Fair, Summer Fair, Movie
Nights, Quiz Nights and Non-uniform Days The Circus Night and
Christmas Fair were the most ambitlOU5 events sn the FOR'S recent
history, the former Involving the hir8 of an external company to erect a
big top In the local recreation ground, and the latter Involving the hire of a
mobile Ice skating rink In the school playground
The Christmas Fair proved particularly successful, generaling a profil In
excess of £4k The profits for the Circus were spread across 2
accounting periods, the profit In 21-22 being just under £2k The three
Movie Nighls conlinued lo be very successful, raising a total profit of over
£4k And the Summer Fair generated a healthy profil of £25k
Due to the ambitious nature of the events, revenue for the financial year
exceeded £20k for (we understand) the first ever time, coming In at
£285k Expenses on the revenues totalled £12.5k, giving a profit from
fundraising for the period of just under £16k
The principal result of the FOR'S fundraising efforts In the year was the
purchase of 50+ l-Pads land trolley) for use In thg Glassroom, at a total
cost of £16Ak Thes8 were purchased In the summer term of 2022 and
are used on an ongoing basis In the school to aid the children's learning
The FOR also purchased an Interactive whiteboard for use In the Studio,
at a cost of just under £4k
I n lolal, donations lo the school totalled £21.5k, giving a loss for the
financial year lagainst a profit from fundraising of £16kl of £55k The
brought forward ¢ash balance at 1 September 2021 was £12k, leaving a
r8maining balance al 31 August 2022 of £6￿k
It Is the FOR'S policy lo maintain a cash balance of c£1 k to use as floats
for the main events, but cash reserves can otherwise be donated to
Raglan as and when requested by the school All donations must be
approved by the Committee

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above
charity ("the Trust") for the year ended 31108122.
As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the
accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011
("the Act").
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I
have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have
examiner's statement come to my attention in connection with the examination (other than that
disclosed below ") which gives me cause to believe that in, any material
respect:
the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130
of the Charities Act. or-
the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or
the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements
concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities
(Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement
that the accounts give a 'true and fairf view which is not a matter
considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection
with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in
order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
