Ob"ectives and activlties
Little Drummers is a pre-school based in Hedge End which offers care for
children aged two years to school age. Our aim is to provide good quality
childcare for children in our local community as we believe we are the
foundation of children's future learning. This is managed through our
continuous provision and is underpinned by staff knowledge of child
development through the guidance of the Early Years Foundation Stage
framework.
Little Drummers undertakes various fundraising activities throughout the

Section D
Achievements and performance
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity
during the year
Little Drummers provides term time pre-school sessions for children aged
two years to school age. This year we provided care and support for 47
children and their families.
We held several fundraising events during the year. We had a stall at the
Hedge End village Christmas light switch on market and enjoyed
participating in a local community event. We also held our own
Christmas and Summer fayres and an Easter bonnet parade in the spring
term which were all well supported by our families. We held a fundraising
art show of the children's work in the summer term where parents were
able to purchase their child's flower painting. All the proceeds were
invested into pre-school resources; purchases this year included small
world toys, a new play kitchen, and an instant camera with printer.
The children all enjoyed Christmas and summer parties with food, games
and crafts. Staff, children and their families enjoyed a day out at our local
park in June where we went on a bear hunt and held our annual sports
day event.

Section E
I l Financial review
It is the charity's policy to hold reserves at a level to cover one term's
running costs. The trustees consider that reserves at this level will
ensure that in the event of a significant drop in funding they will be able to
continue to run the pre-school while considering what further action to
take.
Reserves currently stand at £14,432
