Various events were held throughout the year including online raffles, garage sales and fairs which had an increase of over £3.7k on the previous year. Our Annual Open Day and Dog Show performed financially well as the previous year which is our main fundraising event. Investment income was greater in 2024 compared to previous and standing orders have increased in the last twelve months. We also received grants in 2024 compared to the previous year. The charity shop unfortunately closed its doors in July 2024 aMer being open for many years. Maintenance expenditure has increased over 2024 compared to the previous year and the insurance premium for the property has risen drama&cally. Cat veterinary fees are increased due to helping more cats and rabbits through ill health, neutering and vaccina&ons. The cost of animal feed has increased over the years which makes a significant impact on our spending. were able to own the land that the charity is based upon thus giving us permanent stability. Advice was sought from The Charity Commission prior to par&ng with funds.
