successful year raising a total of £49,966
from various sources compared with
£37,484 the previous year. Sources of
income included donations from parents
and benefactors, sponsorship of Friends’
events by local businesses, proceeds from
events in cash, from Sum-up card readers
and via the People’s fundraising online
platform.
Events throughout the year included a
bake sale early in the Autumn Term, a book
sale, seven presents sale, Winter Fair and
Christmas hampers.
Spring term events included a school disco
and Easter event. In Summer, there was a
major fair with various attractions for the
children, tombola, barbeque and a wide
range of refreshments on offer. Other
sources of income were some generous
one-off donations and parents making
donations to match funding raised by
events or through their employers’
schemes.
The Society’s Gold CAF Account paid £351
in interest.
During the year, the Society made grants
totalling £28,255 to Christ Church Primary
School, Hampstead, the Society’s main
beneficiary. These funds are applied by the
School to support extra-curricular activities
such as music and art, drama, sports and
cultural trips for the benefit of the
children’s wider education or the purchase
of aids to learning such as computer
