**Objects:** TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN AN UNDERSTANDING OF THE HISTORY, ARCHAEOLOGY AND NATURAL HSITORY OF THE AREA COMPRISING THE TOWN OF NEWBURY TOGETHER WITH THE SURROUNDING PARISHES

**Activities:** Arranges a programme of lectures and excursions each year in accord with our interests in local history, archaeology, architecture and natural history and occasionally on related topics.  Publishes approximately three-yearly a journal containing a number of articles mainly on local topics but including an account of our activities during the period covered together with an account of our finances.
