Despite challenges and impact of the Cow&19 pandemic and IM￿ on our ability lo deliver face to face training, Bild has continued to demnstrate the abilty to adapt to the new financial circumstances and developed a range of projeet delivery and blended ￿MIng ofters whKh woik lo improve the qualty of lrfe for peop￿ with leamin9 disabilities arKVor autist￿ people throughout the yeaf. with a range of partners. we develop programmes, evaluate systems. define standards. and share gOCMJ practice world•wide. The pandemic also gave Bild the opp¢)rtunity to rewew all expendrture streams to ensure delivery was as cost effed as possible and this has been achieved by the hard work of all those invofved throughout the entire Bild team. The budget for 20r21 approved by T￿slee$ was ¢￿￿oUS for Bild given Covid-19 pandemic was just starting. Bild was a highly sustsinable organisat￿n prior to Covid and, the par￿emie have a signfficant short4em) impad on Bild las well as the 8ikJ AsS￿lation of Training (Bild ACT) and the Bibd Reslrainl Reduction Netsvork (Bild RRNI. However. the finarKial resutts have been very posthve lor the group. delivering a SLtrplus of £235.447 compared to a ¢Jeficit of £158,668 in 2020 and this reenf￿¢e$ the decision to invest in two additional sustainable charities in the prior peritxfs. Our reserves have started to recover back towards the desired level set out in the reserves polw. Following the Maturat￿ of the Cert￿￿ath0n scheme over the L4st 2 years. alon9 With the eontinued interest $hovm in our workforce training and Organisat￿nal development progfammes, Bild has led on a stgnificanl number of projects in the perkJl_ FurthemKJre. desprte the pandemic. our pipeline for further work is stronger than ever, and the develcpnent of online blended delNery models leads us to believe that Bild has a highly sustsinable business model for the fulure. Positive Behaviour Support {PBS) .Inleresl in PBS Workfor￿ development ec￿￿"nUeS lo grow afthough cti￿d meant providers were focused on other things and training in general was put on the back bumer. Erouirie5 are now increasing again with schools being a growing market for PBS. We we Currenlly working wrth more than 100 Organ￿al￿$ lo support workfor¢e and organisational development. We have estsblished a new blended leaming PBS Di?k#na and CertifKe. This has been successful than and we are n¢)w enrolling our 4th eohort, in ￿drt￿)n we are devekping new practice leaders programmes lo enrol in January 2022. We have many farn1￿ carers Currently pro9res51ng through the qUalif￿l￿n. We also have estsblished a peer educators programme where famity carers support other family cares to learn about PBS and are working to roll out a trauma infomEd PBS programme wth Respond across a Trust. We have an online PBS offer for Ihose customers who prefer that. We had to postpone and eventual￿ cancel plans for the 2020 conference in Glasgow due to Cowd-19 and instead set up our first wrtual conference in September 2020, attended by almost 500 delegates. The postponed conference will now lake pLgce in Odober 2021 in Glasgow and will be a hybrid event ￿￿51StIng of in person delegales and virtual ddegales attending via our virtual pLaltomi. Bild Restraint Reduction NelY￿rk The Restraint Reducl)n Nets¥ork charity aims to eliminate the ￿neceSSary use of restricthve praetices. Sir Nomian Lamb is patron of the RRN. The RRN steering group brings together people ccffnmitted to human rights and restraint reduclion across the UK and across education health and social care. This includes people with lived experience of ￿$traInI. professionals. bod￿$. govemment departsnents and academics. The RRN trainin9 stsndards have been endorsed by a ￿de range of professional bodies. They are a requirement of NHS commissioned services and expedthn of CQC reguL4led servw. An independent evaluation of the standards has been cMYnissioned. The RRN has been commissioned to do a number of proieets by NHSE. CQC. Welsh g¢)vemment - including work of blanket restrictions. The Committee ensures proper procedures are in place to manage cash resources prudendy and to maximise income from liquid resources with regard to risk while maintaining suificient funds to meet daily cash requirements. The Committee advises the Board of Trustees for each of the group's charitable entities on the appropriate level of free and designated reseNes and of any s￿n￿¢an1 change needed in investment Strategy. . Build for the Future Build for the FLrture has been Bild's ad￿SOry group of self-advccates drawn from local and national advocaey organisalions. The group has been very successful in ccKnmenting on Bild's work and sharing the important issues for their lives. Hcwever, following a meeting with Bld's Chief ExecutNe on 16th October 2017, it was agreed to relaunth the advisory group. The group have spent time making sure that they will woth in induswe ways and thinking of tssues that they want Bild to look at They have renamed the group'Buikl for the Future- sense of belonging.
